Good to see him back a delightful player to watch
It would be nice for EG fans to see CICCY/SKIPPY both firing in 2009

This would be a more appropriate thread to start rather than the cica thread. Skippy would be in line for the vfl equivalent this season I would imagine.

the joker ...I can give you one very good bloody reason why skippy would want to return to the Eagles, and that is because his fiancee lives in Adelaide and has an extremely good job. A man can only go for so long without it.

Sauce's return depends on whether Carlton gets Warnock or not...

If we don't land Warnock I dare say Sauce will be elevated onto the senior list....

Thought Skipworth went to Vic to get on another AFL list? If so then while calling him a failure is a bit harsh, but sadly true.

Anyway, good pick up but I don't think he's going to be enough on his own. WWT are on the way down with what they have IMHO. Passador is only going to get older and slower (especially given his injury troubles are mounting), Colville and Ciccolella are finished and the rucks are now a weakness, not the strength they were for most of the decade (IMHO of course). The Eagles have quite a few holes appearing that just one player isn't going to fix. Skipworth isn't the answer, but might be a part of the answer if they can find a forward, a ruckman, a key defender and another good midfielder from somewhere. Funny thing is that's a shopping list 9 SANFL clubs have! Just a question of being smarter about who you go after and how much cash you need to spend to get the players needed.

Must admit Andrew Rodgers looked lost when he was leaving the coaching box at alberton .
I wonder why fuller wants him out is he perhaps jealous that his team is still alive in the finals

Well if Jacobs comes home that's a ruckman around 200cm .

I don't think we need any more forwards - Passador has had hamstring problems since 2004 anyway, plus if we can keep Grocke and Schwarze we won't have any trouble there. Fitzgerald can improve on his season this year, too, even though he did kick 32 goals, hopefully Christopher Hall does not go anywhere too.
