The way I see it - not too bad.

Sunday's weather. http://www.weatherzone.com.au/sa/adelaide/adelaide then you can click on the "more detail" button.

- windy with showers tonight and in the morning.
- only the odd brief shower is likely during both games (about 60% chance).
- wind will be strong westerly in morning then turn northerly for the games but as strong as early in the day. Still a 2-3 goal breeze to the southern end.

Monday will be wetter and windier than Sunday, lucky.

I meant to say the northerly during the games will NOT be as windy as the westerly in the morning.

The wind will be the main factor (rain will not play a big part).

Is there any particular reason why Sunday is favoured over Saturday during finals?

They were originally moved because a Crows finals fell on a Saturday afternoon, unfortunately when those stopped the SANFL forgot the original reason.
I can only assume it is now to avoid the nice weather and ensure everyone gets wet, has hangovers at work and gets less people to the game.
Should be Saturday first week, Saturday second week, Friday night Prelim and Saturday for the GF, would get 20k more a year at least if they did that. Mind you common sense/logic and the SANFL isn't a good match for some reason.

I'm not against Saturday finals, but I would not of been able to go today due to junior sport presentataions.

But I wish they would get away from double headers and let's see some night finals.

Maybe a Friday night and Saturday final at Adelaide Oval or Friday night and Saturday night.

Thoughts?

Saturday twilight finals would be great, imagine if they were playing a game tonight at AO in this weather, say the Port/Norwood game, would get a huge crowd, compared with tomorrow with strong winds and heavy rain forecast (not that you can believe that), but also you can't programme for good weather either, love the twilight games, always plenty of people and atmosphere at the ones I have been to and some pretty decent footy played as well

You still didn't add North to the options, there is a number of North supporters that will leave after the U17 Prelim.

the finals have been played on a sunday for many years (cue spelly) why start whinging now  & while it makes no difference to me i'd suggest that a lot more people could go on a sunday that can't go on a saturday than the opposite to that & bums on seats is what it is all about
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway
