Sure understand fully if they have an injury and want to rest it, but if physically fit the mental side of things shouldnt be too hard IMO...

All this is going to do is make SANFL coaches err on the side of non AFL listed players during the year if this is going to become the common thing.
As far as being mentally shot goes, what does that mean if the AFL season was still going? you're 'mentally shot' to be playing SANFL but all right to be playing AFL?

Couldn't agree more, I've said the same on the Norwood forum re: Massie. It's just a cop out. Lost all respect for the man. Lucky for them they play AFL where passion for the game and your club are not a necessary asset
