Not at all - it is still the highest attended sporting competition in the world where all teams are based in the same city.!

We will not compromise the SANFL competition (with AFL reserves teams)."

from above: "Glenelg – average 4056-strong crowd each game"
-> total = 4056 x 20 = 81120
-> less 11827 = 69293
-> new average = 69293 / 19 = 3647

The budding mathematicians among us are invited to repeat the above computation for Sturt crowds and Glenelg Oval crowds. 8)

To get those averages you will need to:

Total crowd (not average)for 20 games=

Deduct Round 13 at Glenelg =

Divide by 19(remaining games)= Average crowd

Anybody got those figures?

Their average was 3,849, multiply by 20 games is 76,980.

Glenelg oval crowd was 11,827, leaving 65,153.

Divided by 19 = 3,429.

Not sure what the exercise proves thouh, because they did actually get a crowd of 11,827 at the bay (an outstaning crowd).
