By choice??? If thats the case, thats weak as p*ss....
From what's written on the NFC forum I understand that Kris Massie (who would have made his 3 games only by dint of a Souths 2nds game played a dozen or so weeks back) has done the same.

I don't think that it's weak as piss (or even p*ss). For a guy who technically qualifies as a result of games played earlier in the year, but regards himself as a Crows player now and is an integral part of their 22, it's a perfectly valid approach to say, 'when the Crows' season is over, my season is over'.

I'm happy enough with the current optional system, but if players who technically qualify are going to be required to play in the absence of injury, then clearly the qualification rules should be more stringent. In particular, as well as a games minimum across the whole year, the player should be required to have played a SANFL game within the last half-dozen or so matches played.

Could someone less lazy than me let me know who else the PAMs are liable to pick up from AFL clubs?

With Nick Lower apparently suffering a season-ending injury on top of Matt Thomas' season-ending injury, the answer for Norwood is: nobody (beyond those who played today and Kite who's been a Norwood player all year).

Then if the AFL players are happy to get back in form through us then surely it's a bit of give and take? Maybe if our club had some balls we'd play them in the ressies and develop our OWN team, not pander to the Crows all the time!

watch out norwood - the maggies have found their fighting spirit - never give in. They have come from nearly bottom of the ladder to top 4 - think no other club has fought so hard to get in the finals race. The team is steady - have overcome many injuries since the start of the season - maggies by a close margin and will be a great game.

Contrary to what is being touted about Kris Massie I have it on great authority that Mass is very willing and ready to play on Sunday. Watch this space!

That would be very handy. He is an on field leader who has given Norwood invaluable service and experience when he has worn the Norwood jumper. We are a "goals better" team when he is available.

Alot of quality coming back into the side, pretty strong looking defence with plenty of run with duigs and Kite across halfback. 8) :D

How does the QF have more posts than this thread? Disappointing.

I like the look of our team, confident we can get up.

Richard Williams, the SANFL's most hated umpire.
