I don't think Boyd is any chance he is a seagull and too small for the AFL. Can't comment on the rest don't know much about them.

I disagree with all those westies guys who have nominated players, we have none that are up to the draft standard,we finished bottom so can't have much going for us, so i think we should be overlooked this year." PLEASE". :D :D :D :D

It would be nice to keep them but it is a reality we are a breeding ground for the AFL.

My fear is Tom's card has been marked as too small, absolutely stumped why he didn't get picked up last year.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

TM- Tom Holmes defintely not stamped as too small. Spoke to 2 recruiting managers from melbourne early last week and one of them again today and both rate him as one of the better kids that will come out of SA. I want to see him at the Crows or at the AFL club I support!

Todd Grima also likely to go in the late rounds. Adelaide very interested.

Could you please explain this comment of him being a seagull. I am trying to work out what it means.

He runs around getting cheap kicks all day ala Peter Burgoyne.

Well that is good news, i was struggling to think of why he didn't get picked up. was the only reason i could think of.

I know of one club interested in him.

I feel that is an unfair comment, he is a good reader of the play, knows how to position himself, has a strong body for his size, is very fast and skilled, knows how to loose a tag, as each week he is closely guarded and scragged, loosing a tagger and being able to get out by yourself is a skill that not many players posess, and he has a high tackle count each week, if he has a failing, it is in the team play department, but hell he is still a youngster and still learning, and very hard on himself when the team looses, experience comes with games played.

Rolfe should be a certainty to be picked up, maybe Redigolo if not this year then next year, and some of the other young lads should be better for another year under their belts, anyway, if the AFL scouts are worth anything, all the names would be in biro by now.

Ah, so based on this, you must also think that Bailey is a seagull too?

Travis Lane has a chance as well. Was impressive early in his opportunity in the league. Did go back to the 2's after injury though. Looks a good type. A little slow and a rookie list looks most likely though.

No argument from me on that one TB

I won't argue that he is good at it but IMO it makes him a certainty not to be drafted as he is no where near good enough to do it at AFL level.

Maybe this is agreeing with you that team play is where he needs to pick up his game. At the stoppages he is all about himself and he shows absolutely no respect to his opponent or his teammates for that matter. All he tries to do is run through every stoppage hoping that Parry can hit it down his throat to make him look good, also it is very predictable. He at no stage attempts to provide a block for an opponent to get an easy break away from a stoppage.

He looks as though he will be a good SANFL player for a long time but as this is about draft prospects IMO he has as much chance as me. None at all.

Boyd a seagull....?
perhaps you should ask Saunders from Port if he thinks Boyd runs around getting easy kicks. Mind you every side needs a seagull or two, many have gone onto long and successful careers, didnt Grant Fielke win a magarey medal?

Who knows?, maybe when he has played as many games as Fielke did, then you can compare them against each other
