What a load of crap....Andrew Collins will be there next year. He has done the best with what he has player wise. Apart from one game he has had them playing an attacking style of game.
He has done an exceptional job and has laid a foundation down to build a very competitive team for next year.
Have a look at Wests line up every week...15 players under the age of 23.
Recruiting? As every club does, search far and wide for the best available.
Where are they going?...up, not just the team but the whole club in general.

I think most regular readers of this forum will quickly realise that the start of this thread is a fair way off of the pace.

No other club with a record like ours this year has given half the support towards their coach as what we have.

As per Mr Rucci's snippet regarding 13 potential VFL recruits and salary cuts.

Collins has been facing upheaval since the day he started. His desire to recruit or depart has a very similar undertone to John Cahill and South. Whilst West will not want to cut Collins with a year to go, can they really afford to have him coaching when he is at odds with the club?

I don't think the West CEO could have dissmissed Mr Rucci's article any more than he has just done on RPH.

Us wolfpack members have a good sense of humor, we still enjoy our footy to a point, but we don't continually need to reminded that we are bottom, we can see that but it will change believe me.

Are you trying to say he didn't inherit something bad? A squad that had won 3 spoons in a row and whose senior players were on their last legs, as evinced by the retirements during the year of Dragicevic, Walsh and Hollands.

I agree in that I couldn't see the sense in starting a couple of those kids in the 19s but to say he played Victorian rejects instead is cliched and wrong. Which of our Victorian recruits are rejects? I can only assume you mean delisted AFL players, namely Ferguson and Neaves, and I'd like to know which of the kids in the 19s should have led the ruck and played CHB in their place.

I've been wondering about your anti-West diatribes, ML. It now becomes clear that you've got an axe to grind, but that won't stop you letting the facts get in the way of a good story.

That list of players you've named is interesting to analyse. I'm sure you're right about Collins not wanting to play them until half-way through the year, but last time I looked, Martin had been plucked out of the 19's and had played about 11 league games, with 4 still to go this season, so your season obviously lasts about 30 rounds.

Hartlett, Slattery and Blesing would have missed most of the first half of the season with U18 State commitments, but Hartlett played early in the season and was injured. Slattery is now a regular and Blesing has had an injury interrupted season.

I don't think anyone would think that Webb should have played league yet. He's coming along nicely in the Reserves and his time will come.

Stanley is a very young ruckman and nobody would have expected him to play league this season, but he was brought in without a Reserves game and played 2 games before being injured. Silverlock is selected for his debut tomorrow, certainly quicker than anyone would have thought.

The gist of all that is that Andy Collins is playing most of those youngsters early, not holding them back.
