You reckon, I was standing right at the interchange fence in my role with LifeFM as boundary rider (for you Dutchy) and didn't see any interaction with the crowd whatsoever. All I witnessed was the frustrated Gowans twins getting bronx cheers whenever they came from the field. Interaction would involve Chris or James giving it back to the crowd, like the classic Lonie example. Sorry Brad, you're off the mark a bit there mate

Yeah, you are Brad...![]()
You tell me one instance from Sturday when either of the Gowans twins "interacted" with the crowd. Yes, the crowd took pleasure in giving them the bronx cheers and jibes but interaction involves more than one party responding to something and contuining on in that matter. So, let's face it, you are off the mark mate

Big Phil, I think you might need to have a word with Phil Hearden and the Life FM team. I was listening on line and I quite clearly heard either PH or JN say that one of the Gowans was getting a spray from the Rooster fans, when he got pulled for the 25mtr penalty. (I even made mention of it on the gameday thread on the Roost). Then one of them (not sure which one it was though) definitely said that Gowans had come out off the bench and was giving the fans a spray back.

John,
I was positioned smack bang in the middle of the interchange gates, right on the boundary line fence and I saw and commented every interchange from both sides. James Gowans got dragged for his indiscretion and at of course copped the bronx cheers but trust me, at no stage did he give anything back to the crowd. I will say he had to get straight on the phone / headset up to Roy Laird and from what I could see and hear, James didn't listen to a word of Roy's, just took his frustration out by carrying on and throwing the head set back to the bench.
A bit of a dummy spit one would say. As for Chris Gowans, he came off for rotations throughout the course of the game and at no stage did he go back at the crowd. The boys calling it from the back of the stands must have assumed he was going back at them but I was 5 metres away from them the whole game and didn't see anything to suggest otherwise, trust me.
