Wonder if Mark Williams will help the Port Maggies out and take back some of the sturt based power players. I think that Thurstans and Bentley will play for the power this week.

Based on the efforts of the two aforementioned players, Choco would actually be doing Sturt a favour if they gain an AFL recall.

Having Bentley, Thurstans and Reilly all come into the side really unsettled things. Unfortunately with the situation the two Power players are in at Port they are not in the right frame of mind to perform well enough at the top placed SANFL side. Quite frankly the body language from both was poor all day and this seemed to spread throughout the rest of the team like wildfire.

I will be more confident of Sturt bouncing back v Port Magpies if I look in the paper and see some 'True Blues' named in the side with the AFL players heading back to their employers for the weekend.

If you read MST's post ( a sturt supporter ) he'd be happy to see the backs of those players.
You can't go blaming those individuals for Sturts loss last weekend.
The previous week Port Magpies played Norwood with 17 men when Peter Burgoyne was on the ground & Port still won!
So wycbloods if Mark Williams takes those Power based players back this week it should only strengthen the Double Blues chances for this weekends clash not weaken them, " in MST's eyes anyway!"

I'm not sure exactly where I 'blamed individuals' for the loss to Norwood last week NM? What I did say is that having three AFL inclusions (two of which had not played for Sturt in well over two years) had an unsettling affect on the side and they played accordingly.

Norwood were far too good on the day.

I will reiterate that given the choice between players who have been in good form in our top of the table reserves side and out of form AFL listed players who are not familiar with their teamates, gameplan, coach and so on then I will take the former every day of the week and twice on Sunday's.

So yes, I believe if Toby, Brent and Greg were to be given AFL call-ups and into the side come the likes of Whiteman, Perrie, Evans and Jaensch we would most certainly be strengthened.

Will Chambers play this week??? you would think reilly will go to the Crows with Vince out and Bentley and Thurstans possible to play with the "tankers"

Massive game for both clubs should be a ripper....

No comment about Chambo.

I very much doubt either Toby or Greg will play for PA on Friday but with Choco you never ever know. :o

Chambers, Perrie and Whiteman all named in the team on RPH. Deluca back in too. As to who runs out on Sun, well, we'll just have to wait and see.

Port pretty tall up forward with hargreaves and Waterhouse, might stretch our backmen a bit, great to see Perrie and Whiteman back. Well done to Feasty, what a champion. GO YOU BLUES.

my mail is that whiteman wont play this week seeing they have a bye next week they are making sure he is right for a fortnights time (& into the finals) rather than aggrevate it on sunday

i went to last weeks game & you could clearly see that sturt missed whiteman at the stoppages, which to me means he is a lot more valuable than some people think
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

There's no Richard Williams or Pfieffer in the league this week, which means that they are doing underage or having the weekend off.
