Is Glenelg 2008 heading the same way as Sturt 2007?

No. I don't see the Bays losing to themselves in an elimination final

Central very good. Had numbers and hardness, hit Glenelg bodies hard all night.

Bays lacklustre. Most looked like they didn't want to be there. Second to the ball all night.

Congrats doggies, enjoy your win, and may god help the teams which play you in the finals!

from what I can take from the game, Dogs missed the opportunity for a huge win

No obituaries being written.....just marking the sympathy cards "Return to Sender"

Yes, a special thanks must go to the pathetic natured members of Snouts Louts who were so stupid do something like that, just asking for trouble and I heard that the club and the players used it towards their motivation for tonight's performance. Thanks gentleman, but you can have them back...

central smashed us in all aspects of the game & it was surprising we were still some hope at lemon time, central proved tonight that it definately isn't a spent force & we will have to improve dramatically to match them or sturt come finals time, which we can

late 2006 against North, down by about 6-7 goals 20 minute mark of last qtr, but got within 2 points, the way it was going 30 seconds would have been enough to snatch the win (BTW the only night game at home we have lost)

That was the best I'd seen Centrals play this year. A true 4 quarter effort.

Defence played really well, and kept the Glenelg attack right out of the game. Centrals maintained pressure on Glenelg constantly, it was like the Dogs of old.

Loved Dutschke's screamer, pity his missed the subsequent shot on goal.

All up, an impressive win.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

Bays only did what we allowed them to do tonight, the opposite to our last clash at Elizabeth Oval.

Great to meet Tas and catch up with Jabber again.

Centrals should have won by 12 goals to only lose by 8-9 golas when we played crap and let Centrals be first to the ball is a small positive (very very small) we can take out of the game. a I said to smac, we were smashed in and under all night.

The talk at pressos was that centrals has done us a favour as it reinforced what we have to do to be a serious contender.

A mighty lesson learnt and we look forward to paying them again in the finals...

However tonight is a night where you give full credit to Centrals. As I've been saying all year they are still the benchmark.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Couldn't have put it better myself. Bays never turned up...they were insipid and shocking...there was no sign of the hardness and intensity that we have prided ourselves on so far this season. Too often the Dogs players had not just one, but two players first to the loose ball...they hunted in packs, we hunted as individuals...

Put the entire night's performance down to the terrible moment after the half-time siren, where the Dogs had a shot on goal (forget which player it was) but the kick was sprayed, bounced about 2 metres out and went through for a point, while three or four Bays defenders stood and watched one another as if to say "aren't you gonna get that?". It was the most unaccountable and lacklustre performance I've seen from us this season, but to the Dogs credit, they ran harder, used their skills much better than us, and were electric all over the field.

Thanks Centurion for the treats...enjoy the win...you'd be pleased to hear that I DID share those gummy sharks...
