I think McGregor is one of the most important talls to have in our team. He's the only one of them that is a genuine CHB and can be used in the ruck, if we decide to just go with Dabrowski.

My opinion on the talls:

Passador - in form, has to be picked, prefer full forward, but can play the floating forward role.
Schwarze - when in form, a very good full forward, but not suited to anywhere else on the ground.
Hentschel - best as a floating forward within 50, could be used in defence.
Salter - exactly the same as Hentschel. Has been used in the midfield - but can only be in short bursts.
Grocke - when in form, our best leading CHF. Provides the crucial avenue to goal and contest needed none of the others give.
Hier - A good solid full back, but not yet back to the form he showed when he started a couple of years ago.
McGregor - A good solid CHB and allows us to use McKenzie in the midfield. Can also ruck and play deep forward.

As Fuller mentioned in his coaches comments, a balance in the forward line needs to be struck. That may be at the expense of a big name player. And another one of those may need to play a team game down back to help McGregor and Hier.

The problem with that in other games this year is trying to play ruckmen as Backmen .Has not worked so far this year !!

Yeah, I'm thinking either Salter, Grocke or Schwarze, although Schwarze being tried back there hasn't worked either.

I never know who is going to win when North and the Eagles clash...if the Eagles are in front at 3/4 time this time around, I reakon they might put in a better 4th quarter effort than last time these sides met...

If I was to tip in this one, I'd lean towards the Eagles by about 12 points.

Here are all the eagles supporters not sure which talls to play against the Roosters, then we have us poor westies supporters who would love to have and extra tall or two so we could actually have more than Willits to kick to in the forward line  . I know Collins would much rather be facing the dilemma of which one to keep out rather than not have enough to choose from.

Mickyj & Aerie your thoughts are well made , but surely lads there is more than enough talent on the ground for us to win & win well ! Its the KFC boys & not the Bays , so a fully focused committed Eagle team is really the issue ? This is what Fuller is getting paid for .......yes ? By following that philosophy Ron should give back his pay packet from the Port game ! Anyway no real excuses if he cant get the boys to fire , as were basically at full ratpower give or take 1 maybe 2 . Roberts out / Grocke in , with a bit of adventure through the centre ala Petrenko ! And get some bloody crumbers around the goals ffs !

Jarred Redden is a surprise inclusion for his first game. He is just back from the under 18s where he did very well and at 202 cm is a good chance to get drafted.
Most supporters will be happy to see Grocke and Cicolella back in too.

Hopefully we can get back into winning form.

202 cm might make it interesting for scarlett ohara and CO
And don't forget he is useful up forward and has played along side passador in the two's .

Young Aboriginal lad who is a listed player with the Crows...

Wears number 20 for North from memory. A bit undersized but is a likely half back / on baller running type with good skills (from what I've seen of him)

The depth of the team is shown a little in the Reserves - with Symmons returning from injury, James Stewart likewise, also Robbie Fiacchi from a serious knee injury and something else, Pavlich, Jarrhan Jacky also in there, and Denis Redden.

Yes there are a lot of capable players to play League, it's just a matter of the players that are, play like we did against Central!

Fiacchi D Redden J Stewart Pavlich all played against Port and some may have played more games in the two's Spelly. Looking good for closer to the finals if the league side make it that is .
