Holden78, a great game last week by the Eagles v Centrals yet not so this week, now you think its time for Ronny to go, your a joke like many other Eagles fans looking to point the finger elsewhere rather than having a good hard look at the insipid effort some of those players displayed today.
Maybe these same players need to have a good look in the mirror at home & be real honest with themselves with what they see, only then they'll understand what there supporters have to put up with.

i think that is almost correct NM, but i'll say after watching central today & two weeks ago i say they are travelling very very ordinary (atm) & apart from south & west i think every other team would have beaten them & beaten them comprehensively today so last weeks 14 goal win in hindsight was not a huge game by wwt but a very poor one from central, i think port are starting to get all the better players back that were injured & are now starting to gel into a team as the side is nowhere near as unsettled as it was earlier in the year although they are still a long way off glenelg & sturt
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Really up and down foirm from the Eagles playing as good as they did against us and then by the sounds of it, were prettyy average today.

I forgot, isn't there an Eagles function on tonight down at AAMI... All the irate WWT and Ronnie haters will be down there venting their spleen and frustration no doubt. Looking forward to some interesting opinions from Micky, holden78 and a few other Eagles fans...

I wonder if the We hate Ronnie, give him the flick topic will pop it's head up again. The Fuller apology thread might just quieten off a tad...

Well done to the Maggies, sounds like the Doggies will face them in a bit of form at Hamra Homes next week. Will the Power take a few of the better players back into the AFL, the likes of Surjan and Wilson or will they play out at Elizabeth, only time will tell.

Really looking forward to next weeks game, a bit nervous already though, LifeFM are calling this game and I have been "recruited" to make my Boundary Rider debut for the live call. Looking forward to working with Phil Herden and John Nankerville though, should be fun.

GO U DOGGIES...

Congrats on getting a call up for the boundary wrap Big Phil. But bloody hell, are you going to use evey topic on here as a means to promote yourself.

This is supposed to be the Port v Eagles review thread not the Dogs v Port preview thread.

I agree with you bayman, Port did play alot better today & seem to be playing more for each other than earlier in the year, a long way off from where Glenelg & Sturt are at present.
Inconsistancy has been there real problem & yes injuries have played some part but you can't blame that for there whoefull skill level displayed over the majority of the year.
Like i said i saw some improvement in Ports side today but i also think Port havn't really beaten anyone of real significance this year & yes Eagles may have beaten Centrals last week but that doesn't mean Port will this week. Until Port can beat someone like Centrals, Glenelg or Sturt, they can then talk about being back!

Well for the sake of accuracy "the whole bloody post", bar the highlighted paragraph, was either a bait at the Eagles fans or your self promotion.

Rimington is a champ, I really like the bloke. Looked like he was getting stuck into Lokan about his hair, or lack thereof.

Petrenko is a gem and won't be too long before he's upgraded by the Crows.

Spot on my friend! A few at the Eagles gala dinner were asking the same question.
Why would you mess with a side that killed the reigning premiers? :?

PS The Eagles Reserves won

I am here and no I didn't go to the Eagles gala last night. Its a long drive home from Alberton to Taperoo  when u have car problems  .
So hands up who think Tim out coached Ron when Ron sat down at the Eagles Selection table =; Why was Grocke Dropped again!!! Why did the Eagles go in to TALL again. Why was Lee not picked and Roberts not dropped he should be on yesterdays game.
And does this game show that the DOGS are crap compared with every other year as in fact the Eagles are as well.An end of an era :?
And did the loss of young Broadbent make that much difference?

And on another note I was spotted by other Eagles fans yesterday due to this site :D
Oh and to the Power fan saying to me you put two piles of nothing together and you have nothing .Well I will remember and I hope the players will as here about it as well.Just remember come finals will you still have your power players playing ?

Oh and Phil I think me getting the knives sharpened is a bit of over kill .
I am not going to keep knifing Ron.But I think 09 will bring a new guy at the helm .Because the head guys at Oval AVE looked Pissed yesterday hell I was pissed .Hell all the Eagles fans were pissed.

I suppose I should say well done Port out played the guys from up the road .

PS
A big spot on by Wedgie on the margin as well

I think its sensational that the senior umpires are rostered to at least one junior match every year, well done to the Umpiring fraternity on that ongoing arrangement. :D

" We didnt want it enough when it mattered " said Ron fuller . Well coach if its come to that after 8 years , then its time to say goodbye with the knowledge that the time is right , just like our CEO John K. ! All the fans you speak to yesterday , even the cheer squad , are in agreement . Its not that your efforts are not appreciated re 06 , but when you cant fire the boys up again , especially after last weeks effort , it shows the message is not being recieved . Also , dropping Adam Grocke after a rock solid display last week is piss poor ! Your having a laugh if you cant see that hes our best CHF & could easily back up Dabrowski , like you asked Kenny Mc. to do later in the game . Look , honestly , Roberts isnt league standard & his stats yesterday of 1 handball defies belief ! Petrenko through the middle needed to happen early on , as every team knows we lack grunt & cutting edge there . Ron you have achieved all you can , lets part while were still on good terms . Take a leaf out of our CEOs book , so we can all start afresh .

Well said and well written Holden =D> .Many Many of the Eagle faithful I spoke with yesterday echoed your thoughts above on both Grocke and Fuller. Before we have any comments on crowd numbers. There were many Eagle fans at the ground Saturday I sat in two different locations and I was far from alone .And the boys or Gents rather in the DARK COATS and Dark clothing (no not port fans) looked more pissed than myself .And before anyone says anything these guys have look that make you call them SIR!!
And someone at the club should be looking already. Surely the club must find a guy early on so they can take over when the season ends !!
Funny thing is so many Eagles people keep saying The Weed or Pyeman to me!!
Do the fans know something !!! Myself I say go for Norman or Pyeman .Or an AFL assistant seems West Coast is about to clean house.
Geez give me a week we do not go over this please !!!

I must say i was dumbfounded to why Adam Grocke was dropped, maybe thats why the reserves won & yes that may of had some impact on the result ( league ) but as senior A grade footballers why would they need the coach to get themselves up for a game? If you can't motivate & prepare yourself at this level then its time you gave it away, a coach can only do so much to motivate players, players not only the coach have roles to play aswell & if those players don't play there role to the best of there ability well its goodnight dick, as it was yesty.
So its not all Ronny's fault.

Perhaps a big broom is needed. The players that should have been playing league yesterday in the seconds IMHO Grocke, Lee, Jolly, Mcentee,J Stewart (second game back),Redden .Others may have some different thoughts .
A big Broom is needed just to sweep out the faults in the coaching box ,Players(who can not cut it anymore) and perhaps the Board the selectors .And we know the CEO is going .

Truth be told the only person who looked pissed coming out the coaches box yesterday was Mark Jeffries. If it was me as the coach (and no I am not a coach) I would have looked like a WB cartoon character with steam coming from my ears.
