This is probably an odd question, but would any Bay supporters prefer to drop at least another minor round game this season, perhaps for the "wake up call" value, or would you prefer to enter the finals without having tasted defeat since round 1?

Just browsing through and i thought i would add to this. I can see where you are coming from, but surely winning form is the best form! I don't subscribe to this 'its the loss we needed to have' mentality. You want to win every game you go out there and play. Player or Supporter.

Bays may well win this one, only cause North are taking the game as a Grand Final

FWIW DWW I agree with you completely, I just know some supporters moreso than players, can get a little edgy about it at times .. Would love to have something like that to worry about at our club thats for sure.

On current form, the bays by 10 goals.

Also, can someone remind me. As White and Lonie played for the Power last week they can not play for North this week ?????.

Strange, I know, but I think a loss would do the Bays the world of good...I'd like us to enter the finals having that fear that anything less than a 100% performance could result in curtains on the season...at the moment, we're playing some games at 60-70% and winning...it doesn't always do the mind the best favour.

Then my other personality says that I want the Bays to go undefeated for the rest of this season...

RD16

RD21

Glenelg 20.17 137

RD23
Sturt 15.5 95
North 15.12 102

That shows to me that North were just best than Sturt and without the massive RD23 come from behind win Sturt would have come out on top for 2007.
North were definately not better than Glenelg in 2007.

Qualifying Final
North 10.9 69
Eagles 8.14 62

Preliminary Final
North 18.14 122
Eagles 15.6 96

Over the season the Eagles and North were very close, come finals North were the better (and somewhat luckier) side.

You either have not seen any of North this year or you are the worst judge of football in existence.

*chuckle*

I'm merely trying to keep all this talk of Glenelg winning under conservative wraps...

On form we should beat North and beat North comfortably, but North tested the Bays in the shootout earlier this season, and when they put it all together, they can be a very dangerous side...

PS - I think I've seen North more than I've seen the Bays this season. I reakon that qualifies me to comment that North aren't all that bad.

North are still a quality side with Allaway, Archard, Rhyswyk, Younie, Wright (IMO arguably along with Holmes and Summerton the best U/20 player in the SANFL ATM (inclusive of AFL listed players)), McIntyre, Krieg, Ivens to name but a few. Whether they are a quality team (based on comments on here and RocketRooster.com) due to off and on field issues is another matter. North have enough quality players to beat anyone on their day. Which is why Glenelg will not be taking them lightly on Sunday.

North get their sh!t together and they are capacble of having an impact on the business end of the season. So TigerBoss' comments are not without justification IMO.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Don't you have a multi trip on the Bays Bandwagon mate, you just buy single trips when it suits you

My comment was made in relation to you suggesting that North on their day are as good as anyone going around. This simply not true. If Glenelg were to lose they would need all their players to have absolute shockers. North's best is not anywhere near the level of Glenelg, Sturt and Central.

Depends on how we are winning CP, if we are just scraping over the line each week then Id prefer a loss, if we are winning my min 5 goals each week I say keep going....
