Ahh, I still find it HILAROUS that some of the North supporters STILL refuse, to this day, to accept Shubert hit Gowans first...

FFS... Get over it people, move on, no doubt Shane and James have... :?

i don't need to get over it Wedgie, trust me I have, plus there was nothing to "get over" to begin with. James hit shubert back because Shane clobbered him first. All's fair in love and war (and that SANFL Grand Final) mate...

P.S - I agree about the 99.9% of supporters habe dealt with it, I guess my point, in a roundabout way was that the 00.1% left over MUST be SOME certain fans who are in that bracket.

Well if you agree with it why say North supporters STILL.... blah blah blah, why not say 1 or 2 people STILL... blah blah blah.
FYI I know a bit more of the leadup to even the hit you were talking about but refuse to discuss it as I was over it last October.
Its not just this issue, its most issues you're involved with, you have to go on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on about them (Media topic a good example).
Just do what 99.9% of people do, make your point and move on. Its nauseating to read, and yes I know most people dont have to read everything but us poor mods do.
Believe me, you DO need to get over it and most other subjects.
YES we know your opinion about the Grand Final hit, YES we know your opinion about the media making mistakes, YES we know your opinion about the tribunal, MOVE ON!!!
Your posts have gone from great at the start to abusive to nauseatingly repetitive. Please post like you did when you started here, we all enjoyed that Big Phil.
Cheers.

And of course, I recieved my customary PM from the moderators... I might suggest here and now that the wonderful (suck) moderators of this great web site just DELETE this topic all together, before too much more gets said that is innapropriate. It was just a waste of time on my part really... :? :(

Spelly, I wanted it deleted not because I was worried about not adhering to rules and guidelines, more so because I was getting sick of people questioning my integrity telling me that I whinge and carry on so I figured, why bother...

Big Phil. I think your match reports are some of the best we get on this site and I appreciate them. Please keep it up*. I also think you know plenty about your SANFL, the comp we all love. However, when you do get into abusive tirades against other supporters...and when it just goes on and on...comment after comment...it doesn't look pretty. You should also closely read other posters' replies to your comments with care. Most aren't having a go at you per se, but are just providing a different point of view. You do seem to misconstrue their intent.

In terms of delteing this thread...well why? You created it. And it's kind of topical given the recent spate of unusual penalties (or lack thereof?) handed out. Find your backbone Big Phil. Nothing wrong with sticking to your guns if you have good reason, but let's not be "dog"matic

p.s. Given the word "current" is in the title, this thread is no place for ancient history.

Warren Partland stated on 5RPH this morning that Kriston Thompson from North pleased guilty to headbutting from Saturday's game and guess what he got - a reprimand!!!

Partland again made it clear that he thinks the SANFL Tribunal is a joke and mentioned how unlucky Rimmington from the Eagles was getting 1 game for his incident with Clayton from the previous weekend.

Now how would Paul thomas be feeling after he got one game for headbutting in what was a nothing incident from the Anzac Day game?

The Tribunal is a complete joke and the SANFL Administrators need to pull their collective heads out of their a*rses and fix it ASAP!

Thompson deserved a reprimand, a dumb act that cost a goal, but Alleway should have at least been cited for dropping his knees into Duigan in the first quarter.

I didn't see the Thompson incident directly, but didn't seem to be a lot of remonstrating at the time (after the goal there was a bit) and at one stage I wasn't sure if Gag's knew for sure it was his free, so I'd almost guess that it wasn't a "headbutt" in the traditional sense. (if that makes sense? lol)

Gags made sure the umpire knew about it but, to be fair, Thompson pushed with his head rather than actually headbutted him.

I'm glad this thread has been brought to life again. I was actually speaking to Thommo down at Propsect oval about an hour ago, watching the Under 15 Championships. I was unaware of the Thompson verdict when chatting with Paul so didn't get to talk to him about it. We were mainly reminiscing about our school days together...

I don't usually agree with much of what Warren Partland has to say but I'm with him 100% of the way on his opinions of the SANFL Tribunal system. All the words that have been bandied about on here are so true... INCONSISTANT, FARCICAL, TERRIBLE, SHAMOZZLE, RUBBISH, BS, CRAP... The list goes on and on...

I'd really love to know what the SANFL themselves think of their system and where it's at because if they think it's going along okay, they are blindly incorrect and inadequate. It needs an overhaul, a change, tinkering, something needs to be done. Too much inconsistency with verdicts that compare to others, over the top suspensions for minute indiscretions, no punishment for serial offenders and reprimands handed out like lolly pops at a bloody kids concert. It needs to change... :?

Like I said at the top, I'm glad this topic has been brought up again, just as long as it doesn't go down the same path as last time it was on the front menu page and a few too many people took things way out of context and were over the top. Keep it on topic people and please don't go getting all personal towards the posters on here, or the topic generator, oh and that advice goes for myself as well !!

And that's exactly what Paul Thomas did back on Anzac Day and he still got a week... INCONSISTANCY :?
