Show is on now guys....

They will be talking to Shane Harris (SANFL umpires boss), Peter Walsh (West), Chris Gowans (Centrals) and Trevor Hill (Norwood)

DB interestingly commenting that Chris Gowans is the key to the Doggies getting back on track for finals while Paul thinks that man might be Charles Slattery... ???

Will be interesting to hear from the horses mouth just as to how far away Chris actually is from returning to action...

Talking to Chris now, mentioning that he admits the depth of the playing list is not as trong as years gone by but he feels when they are all on the park and at the best, the side is capable of anything...

DB keeps on harping about not riding the Dogs off when the Gowans twins are reunited to do so at your own peril...

Chris said he is going to resume full training next week, might have a run in the 2's the week after against Norwood and might be ready to go against Sturt at Unley in 3 weeks time. Said apart from a hammy and shooting himself in the arm with a nail gun at work this is the longest he has been on the sidelines and bloody hates it !!

Funnily, tounge in cheek, he mentioned he is still pissed off at Clint Alleway for jumping into his knee way back on Anzac Day, causing the injury...

Giving a bit of praise to Gavin Chaplin, assistant coach to Roy Laird as a bit of an unsun hero, behind closed doors. Also spoke about the boys talking about how the club was written off back in 2005 after a shaky start, similar to this year, and the Sturt game at Elizabeth was the turning point that saw them get up after being 5 goal down at 1/2 time, going on to win it, the next 17 games and the Premiership...

Let's hope this can be repeated this year...

Shane Harris on at the moment, speaking of the umpiring so far this season...

Interestingly, he mentions that he thinks at the moment, the umps are going alright, but there is still a bit of room for improvement...

Rated their performance so far as 7 and a bit out of 10 and wants them around a 8, 8 and a half, so says they are not far off... :?

Said Colin Rowston, Dennis Russell and I can't remember the 3rd one, have the trip to Murray Bridge for the South v Sturt game... (ha ha  !!)

Shane had a bit of a laugh about Warren Partland getting stuck into Colin Rowston after a few dismal impiring performances in recent weeks and said he would love to catch up with Wazza for a coffee and a chat anytime

If I heard correctly, I'm pretty sure he said Rowston Bayman...

Your thoughts on his comments re-the Centrals v Bays game? How there was nothing really wrong with the umpiring that game and how when both sides were first to the footy they got the free kicks??

What was Kris Grant complaining about???
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I thought his comments were fair and resonable Tas... :D

Granty was just shitty 'cause he probably juts lost money on the horses so he took his anger out on the umpies...

It would be nice if Paul Blandis could get rid of his habit of saying "If you don't mind" after a normal sentence.

Everyone has their little idiosyncrasies....

That's just his, leave him alone

I know with some of the radio work I've been doing recently, I've noticed and been told that I probably say "aah" too much

Just comes with nerves I guess and a lot of people have force of habit with things like that.

Great work to all involved, great show last night, well done Paul and DB...
