Agreed SP. I would have put money on Craney earlier in the year if betting was offered earlier. As it happens I think Sheedy has been far and away Sturt's most consistent player this year.

I wonder how many would have given Sarge as 6th favourite at the start of the year!

Think Allan is the main other threat and going by the obscene amount of frees he got the last time we played, he is certainly an umpire's favourite.

Nope. Full forwards do not typically win Magarey Medals.

That's been a bugbear of mine for years Pseudo. Hodges, Fidge and those sorts of players are just as deserving of umpire votes as the "in the view" midfielders.

Then again, Chambo is one of those types of forwards that kicks 5-6 in a game, and you barely recall seeing him do much for the game. Or you'll say he was easily beaten, but still kicks 5 or 6. The fact that Chambo also likes to give some lip to the men in white probably doesn't help his cause either.

LOL@May-Z correcting other people's spelling. Some major ironing in that.

One big difference
SPORTSBET is a sponsor of SAFOOTY and I wont criticise a good organistaion like thiers
I have emailed SPORTSBET pointing out thier spelling errors.
Thats a fact of life you will bat for people who give good service
Thats Thorntons undoing at times and why his organisation gets ridiculed by many.

i'll add that i backed chambers last year & he didn't get votes in games he should have & off course it comes back to his mouth as he mouths off way too much & i'd suggest he is probably the player in the competition that has given away more 25 metre penalties than anyone else
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

TigerBoss wrote:Chambers at $26 is exceptional value. Fisher will have too many votes stolen by Mouse, Kane and Ty Allen, so a Chambers or Sheedy bet would be a wise move for mine.

Treeby and Gallagher have had good years, but they may not get as many high-scoring votes due to their sides not winning as regularly as the Bays, Centrals and Sturt.

James Allan is a VERY good bet also.

chambers = no hope he opens his mouth way too much & gives away more 25 metre penalties than anyone else in the competition imho

ty allen = wont get many votes as in & under players historically don't get votes (remember mcdermott & chigwidden who was favourite 3 or 4 years in a row)

Chiggy was a little unlucky not to snaffle a medal (pipe down you anti-Bay heathens!), he was runner up twice was he not? So he did get his share of the votes.
