Don't want to make excuesses but we really missed Nathan Brown Today. I guess having three weeks break really didn't help

As good as he has been so far this year Thiele, I don't think Nathan Brown would have made a big difference to the final result today...

Not unless he was able to go to full forward or CHF and kick 7 or 8 goals and totally dominate his opponent, which would have been Damon White...

And I bet, without a shadow of a doubt, if Andy Collins could "clone" just 1 of his players, it would be Damien Cupido... He big fella looks so much better when he is up forward, although is still handy at times when in defence. It was amazing watching the game on the telly that when Cupidoll went to full forward, West didn't look too bad. Just lack direction coming out of defence and nothing on offer up forward when Cupido is not there. What more can I say, classic case of... Robbing Peter to pay Paul !!??

in the first half west at times had no one in their forward line & players running forward had to stop, prop & go sideways which usually ended up as a turnover, when cupido went up forward in the 3rd term he had an immediate effect on the game & had 5 shots on goal for 2.3 & had the siren not sounded when it did he would've had 6 shots on goal, when west had cupido, willits & mccormack roaming around the forward line they looked ok (although north had probably taken the foot off the pedal) i think north will be happy they won but that'd be about all while westies endeavour after halftime would encourage them & surely cupido will now stay up forward

thiele, surely the coach would have to think that 15 possies in the forward line would be 6 or 7 goals so this has to be better than 30-40 possies in the back pocket & lets face it west had no one up forward until the 3rd term & then they did look dangerous

The only Saturday game which means this was the ABC televised game. And what a shocking one it was. Only watced bits and pieces but man it was a shocker. West are an absolute joke, did they have 1 forward all day?

Can't disagree with you about the standard of the game, but yes West did have 1 forward, it was Cupido when moved forward.
I, the West supporters ther and the neutral fans can't work it out.
The guy is hopeless down back, he managed to do what noone else could do and run Gill into some form, yet up forward he's a bloody superstard (disregarding his stupid goal celebration when his team is 8 goals down).

I alluded to it above, Cupido was being a peanut, celebrating his goal before it was kicked taunting the North players as though he was kicking the winning goal, not bringing it back to a 8 or 9 goal game. One of the most retarded things Ive seen done by a player in a side getting comprehensively beaten, he really did live up to his "stupido" name. :?

:) Well done Cocks at least we had a Win !

Surely a 9 Goal win is better than a loss :?

Better perfomance/result than most of the other teams that have played them so far !
