Is that the keeping LEH away from the state game initiative?

Seriously mate, I don't see the big issue.

Zulu wrote:LEH, some research before posting would help. Sturt did run a lightning carnival at Unley Oval last Saturday on their bye weekend, just as they do each time Sturt has a bye. I believe there will be 4 held this year, 3 on the weekend of Sturt's byes and this weekend when everyone has the bye.

However, if you want to deprive 15 school teams of the opportunity to play at Unley Oval this Saturday because it doesnt suit you, then i guess your complaint is fair enough.

Points...

1. Yes, I want to deprive the kids of their fun... FFS give me a break!!! As I said I COACH a team!!!
2. Goodwood Rd to get to Morphett St. Bridge to go to Adelaide Oval... Light's Vision carparking area 8)
3. To say that I don't do my homework/research ... Practice what you preach & READ the ORIGINAL POST - communication??? other clubs???

I'm quite comfortable in taking your shite but YOU LOT might want to do 'research' yourselves & I repeat (for those hard of hearing)...

Sturt have done it again & by the way, the kids miss out next week because ALL TEAMS have a BYE...

LEH, I've been to finals games at Adelaide Oval before where I've left my in-laws place at Craigmore an hour and a quarter before the game, parked near Calvary Hospital and then walked into the ground with plenty of time to spare before the game started.
I reckon Craigmore to Adelaide is a little further than Unley to Adelaide....

Come on Rushby.
All us people who are offering reasons, solutions, background information and different points of view are all wrong. The mis-informed bloke that started a thread abusing a day out for the kids and has taken our advice as a load of "shite" is the only one here talking any sense.

Dude, Goodwood Rd extends onto West Terrace, youd in essence be going backwards to go forwards.
Go straight down Unley Rd onto Pultney St. If you want to go via Morphett St go via Currie St.
FFS It would take all of 10 minutes.

Since when did it ever take long to get anywhere once you get to the Unley region, even if there is a bit of traffic?

I suppose that by the time you've managed to finish talking to Sturt Peter; got the kids off the playground; checked the kids to make sure they haven't stolen anything from young Paris or Romeo (you don't want a high falutin lawyer coming back to see you); get past the gaggle of silver tails discussing the purchase of their latest BHP shares and the possible impact it will have on the share market; removed the dog sh*t from your shoes from the oval; waited for the Toorak Tractor that's blocking your way from leaving the car park to move; driven down Unley Road past the boutique shops where all of the Raquelles and Sherees are blocking a lane as they try and parallel park in their sporty little coupes nearest the clothes shop Chez Class and then proceeded through the parklands, through Adelaide and parked somewhere near Adelaide Oval, it could take an hour and a quarter....

I totally empathise with you LEH.

See, now I was taking the pi*s by using stereotypes to have a giggle at LEH's concerns.

Anyhow, this is taking the whole thing off topic. Let's return to dealing with LEH's delicate situation and just how he's going to get from Unley to Adelaide Oval with only 75 minutes to do it.

I appreciate DW's humour, but I would hope no one named "Paris", "Romeo", "Raquelle" or "Sheree" would be allowed to live in Unley!
In my time as a young bachelor around Adelaide nobody in the area had such fashion-driven, risen working class, names.
Traditional names, and discreet behaviour go with traditional money. Only the nouveau riche are flashy and trashy.

I rather liked Walkerville's approach years ago when I lived there briefly. They arranged the roads so, while there were several roads out of the suburb, you could only enter it on Walkerville Tce and a couple of minor roads that you required local knowledge to find.
