well they certainly havent done anything yet.....

well if the board is to blame for this and it sounds as though that may be the case, perhaps the members may have the last say.....

Yep like the time the membership had their say and got rid of Peter Alexander as Chairman because the members who voted were hoodwinked by in coming board members who wouldn't be fit to clean his boots let alone replace him!

It's no wonder your club is crap!

I am amazed at the conclusions and judgements being made when all we really know (from this site) is that there's been some dispute and Jack seems to have quit.

As an outsider, it seemed an unlikely alliance in the first place TBH and I thought Jack was well and truly retired it could end up being a positive for everyone. If it's not working it's not working, you just need to get on with it.

Yeah facts and footy clubs they go together so well....

Whenever you get volunteers working at high levels in professional organisations self interest and speculation runs rife.

hey why did Symmons and McGuinness get sacked - I'm still waiting for all the facts and why is Hargraves and North part company.

Gee if we waited for all teh facts all teh time this site would be non-existent.

That doesn't make what gets posted on here right but it is a utopian concept to think people on here especially passionate supporters aren't going to speculate.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Have South imploded? All over the place IMO.....

South will continue on their merry way, their finances are strong, which will allow them to survive. As far as success goes on field, unless there is a complete overhaul of the clubs ideals that demand on field success, not just off field success they will remain at the bottom of the ladder.
Before anyone thinks I'm just bagging South, one of my greatest fears is that North are also more concerned with off field success and could well take the same path.

Perhaps what sums it up is when you consider which club has a better administration, South Adelaide or the Fremantle Dockers?

Not South by a long way......

I agree South appear to have imploded temporarily. So far as folding/merging, etc. that's just ridiculous.

South will be around in another 20 years and may well have won a couple of premierships (not in the next 10 years though!)...

The disappointing thing for the SANFL is that South have all of the attributes required to be the Centrals of the south - except for a competant board

It's inevitable that they will eventually become a consistent winning side. May take another 5, 10 or 15 years, but it will happen.

I can barely believe what's happened with Jack. Whatever the true reasons it's so disappointing.

In my 2008 members pack I received a Sticker which reads "On the Attack with Jack"

They should now bring out a new sticker - " Utter Dismay with Clay" :?

And a coach.

But this is the crazy thing about South, they've got everything going for them. $$ and a brilliant metro zone to recruit from.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=14088

I had a question last year which a precedent had to be set for that one, too. Regarding renaissances and eras.

Edit - this thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9754

And then of course in 2005 the precendent was set by myself and I think Borat (as he was known as) for the Bitch Partnerships.

I would have thought by definition
- an implosion does damage internally (ie inwards force)
- an explosion does damage externally (ie outwards force)
I'll leave it to others to state which, if any, best applies to South
