Any cockiness may come in the day following a win like the one they had v the legs... and fair enough. They've beaten all before them to this point and have every right to be talking up their sides hopes. Yet I still feel the majority think the Dogs, North and Sturt are a danger come Sept. Any of those sides having a good day could knock the other off.
Good post Joelie, as I said a couple of days ago despite the fact we are up and about ATM Glenelg has a history of being early season champions only to fade in the later half of the season 78, 80, 81, and more recently 1994 and 1995. So yeah our apprehension is justified if you look at our history.
So history tells us not to get excited now, for two main reasons: 1. the season still has a long way to go and we have to maintain our form and 2, the sides you mentioned North Sturt and Centrals are all very capable and on their day they can easily beat us especially if we get too far ahead of ourselves.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
