dont generalise re this site, you are talking tripe which you are prone to doing, as for the louts, that is our domain and we say what we like with a bit of licence as is our right, you must be envious to be sneaking in there, as we maintain - central are the benchmark not glenelg.

and it is a big statement, i havent read on here ANYWHERE, that we are talking premierships, ffs we have only won 4 of the things in 87 years

Well you go back and read some comments that GLENELG supporters have made. Touchy touchy. If you think I am prone to talking tripe BACK IT UP MATE .As for sites and having a right to say things , isn't this site the same. You need to realsie this site is for everyone to post comments and to discuss things and express their opinions . Those opinions do not have to be congruent with yours or anybody elses likewise mine. It almost sounds like you are agreeing with me concerning Snouts ?

By the way who said anything about talking premierships ? You did.

Good luck to Glenelg they are having a great year

That's the feeling I have got on here. Confidence is an asset to have, but getting carried away in May is not.

There has onlly been one Bays supporter get carried away on this site. The rest of whilst enjoying the wins know that premierships aren't won in May and know that despite what odds the bookies have there is at least one other team who deserve the mantle "premiership favourites".

So for people, not you Spelly, to say they have a "feeling" or a "perception" that Bays fans are getting cocky regarding October is completely non-sensical and borderline paranoia...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

From my point of view Glenelg supporters are very apprehensive about what the rest of the season holds. FFS they have every reason to be excited after the years they have had. Any cockiness may come in the day following a win like the one they had v the legs... and fair enough. They've beaten all before them to this point and have every right to be talking up their sides hopes. Yet I still feel the majority think the Dogs, North and Sturt are a danger come Sept. Any of those sides having a good day could knock the other off.

I am sure Sturt and North fans dont have to look too far back to remember what it was like to really suck.... and then have it all turn around and actually enjoy watching your footy side win.

Specific examples are not required. We'd be here all night if we all tried to justify everything we are saying. The non Glenelg supporters are getting rattled at the thought of a true Glenelg revival.

OCT wrote:Yep , thats because Centrals are the side to beat and have been all year, just need to get injured players back on the ground and gradually find form as like today.

The bays have only used 24. Injuries come to all sides, the key is getting them at the right end of the year , same as form slumps.

Good to see the Glenelg fans keeping a lid on things though. Not.

if you want to carry this on its fine by me, here i will back it up, your last sentence is crap, is that good enough?, opinion is one thing, making unqualified statements is completely different, thats what i am alluding to, iam not touchy touchy at all but it is tiresome to read that we are getting ahead of ourselves etc etc

FFS get over yourself. Here are the facts. Some glenelg supporters are getting ahead of themselves. They are also very excited and as I said rightly so as they have been starved of success. To ask for specific quots to back my opinion up is ridiculous. If you want me to , I will just use your vague rsponse " its crap".

opinion is one thing, making unqualified statements is completely different

My opinion doesnt need to be qualified surely. Most statements on sites like this are unqualified, go and read the thread about Jack Cahill and tell all those people who had an opinion to shut up cos there opinion is not qualified.

Paranioa correct. Glenelg are a very very ggod side , enjoy it. How much more clearer to PEOPLE HAVE TO BE.Good post Joelie.

Good post Joelie, as I said a couple of days ago despite the fact we are up and about ATM Glenelg has a history of being early season champions only to fade in the later half of the season 78, 80, 81, and more recently 1994 and 1995. So yeah our apprehension is justified if you look at our history.

So history tells us not to get excited now, for two main reasons: 1. the season still has a long way to go and we have to maintain our form and 2, the sides you mentioned North Sturt and Centrals are all very capable and on their day they can easily beat us especially if we get too far ahead of ourselves.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I am pretty sure during the first few rounds that Sturt supporters were talking up there chances of the flag this year. So a couple of Bays supporters are talking flags, that must mean the rest of us are aswell

Centrals and Eagles (with players returned from injury) will be the teams to beat, Glenelg are next in line

OCT other supporters are talking up our chances more than we are, and you are one of them

What chance the 4th & 5th placed teams have losing records ie 9-11,9-10-1 or even 8-12?
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.
