No one except these players and Fiacchi deserves a mention of any kind because everyone else seemed to go missing when it counted. Passador and Fitzgerald couldn't do much when the ball wasn't getting in there.

Just like we have the wood over Sturt, North have the wood over us for some reason. The next two matches are must wins or our finals streak will end. Just a question, did anyone else think Younie's mark at the end of the third was after the siren?
Listening on line, I possibly have fewer distractions spelly. I was pretty sure it was on the siren, or at least Life FM called it just on the siren.?

Passador only kicked one after that and McIntyre gave us someone up front to kick to.

Such a simple move, such an effect on the game

Defining mark of the game was about 30 seconds before 3/4 time, North gave away a free 45 out from the eagles goals, Eagles player spat it and the decision was reversed, Alleway ended up with it on the wing (or 1/2 fwd?) hit Unit lace out on the siren, goal to North and the Eagles were never in it again.

IMHO Eagles became too focussed on one forward, Rattador who always kicks a bag against us anyway, Eagles players became to focussed on that option, that why emptier moved him up the ground,. then that worked in Norths favour cause they could throw Dan Ward onto him and move MAcca up forward who took some big grabs and kicked goals. Eagles seemed just to have to one set play today and that was all to Rattador, who did not let them down, why Emptier moved him up the ground is the 5000 and twenty dollar question

Most North people have been begging for weeks to give Thompson and Motlop a game and finally it happened with nothing but positives to come from it. :D :D
ps. I must say Ricky Ebert played his best game for the club today also and I only mention it because Ive bagged the crap out of him.

Three things:

1) It would be Giveador

2) His previous best against North was 5 goals, twice

3) You're not happy you are knocked out of the Slaughter Comp, are you ;)

Didn't seem that way, though. ;)

But I'd definitely take a win over being knocked out of the Slaughter Comp.

It's uncanny, isn't it, you can almost pencil in the result, each time we play North and Sturt.

Sounds like some of the Eagles supporters have swapped camps with Norths ? Now the Eagles year is over ??

Well done North . Where are all the knockers ?

I did exaggerate in another thread, but if we lose one of the next two matches, then it's as good as over. Not quite yet, though.

Great win North!

I agree with the last couple of posts - why can't some of the North supporters be as vocal when we win as they are when we lose? Multiple posting and lengthy, depressing essays turn into one-liners or no posts at all :?

Maybe its just human nature - I notice this thread has more angry Eagles supporters than happy Roosters. Maybe I am expecting too much :D

And how exciting were Motlop & ????? . I think Motlop is on Ports lsit, but that other lad looks really good. Just needs to learn how to kick and balance himself . How quick is he ???? Great comeback and good to watch. Credit to Andrew Jarman , he really fired them up at3/4 time. In his interview after the game he spoke about a" new culture "

Have North turned the corner and do tehy now have belief ? I still say they are a very good side.( as are the Eagles)

Agree Hondo, it does seem that way and you are prpbably right, about it being human nature.

Good win to North today, a couple of great debut's and somethin to cheer about. Though Matty Wright had another good solid game again today, and Archard showed a bit more of what he can do,

Sounded like both Damon White and Nick Gill has quiet games but it turned out to be one of those games where we had enough goal getters around the ground that it wasn't critical for us.

btw Oct, the other debut was Wade Thompson. Has build, pace and ability and with a few more games under his belt should prove to be a real asset imHo
