1987 Premiership player - started on the bench with Michael Armfield. Not a bad line-up of other clubs rejects that year at North: Slattery, Armfield, Klomp, Burton, Sims, Roberts, Hart.

Slattery played for South in the79 gf v port , a couple of years later he had a go at St Kilda but returned to adelaide and went to North.

i remember a grand final where north only had one goal in mind!!!!

Slattery played a total of 170 games for South in 1977-1981 & then again in 1983-1986.
He then played 19 games for North between 1987-1988.
