Part of the problem is we've got about 3 blokes that couldnt run out of sight with a 20 min start and finally a reserves player gets rewarded for the teams good form, only trouble is he wouldnt get a game in ANY OTHER League side in SA.

Be interesting to see if anyone comes in from the two's this week.

Before the Glenelg game North were W-L-W-L for the last 10 games or so and were due to win against Glenelg and then lose against us. I don't know what to think now.

We will be according to the bookies and that's all that counts, it will continue our run of not getting beaten by the Eagles when we're favs.

Not conning anyone mate, its a pretty obvious fact that the Eagles will be the favs, Im a keen punter and have a fairly good idea of what the odds will be like when they come out.
Freel free to ask the other regular SANFL punters such as Punky, mal, bayman, Dutchy, Ecky, etc to who they think the bookie will have as favs. :?

Well I normally ask bayman
But I saw the Eagles performance two weeks ago and I am grateful that the game was not played during the day.Believe me when I say the Eagles were flattered by the score line .
I would think the bookies would be making odds that would portray a much more even affair.

Now I grew up around Greyhound Tracks and I know that Favourites do not always win .

But I am hoping my Eagles will win .

Most of the games between North and the Eagles the last few years have had plenty of feeling and generally close. North have had the wood on us recently. We were lucky to not get beaten by 5+ goals in the 1st round. Very different Eagles team now, but I'm not all that confident. 50/50 game and I'd think the loser will struggle to make top 3 (the winner may as well). From watching North against Glenelg a couple of weeks ago, I'd say the Eagles players are a bit harder at the ball and body at the moment than North are and that will be the difference (hopefully).

The Eagles are starting to play some decent footy but we are still a bit weak for pace in the midfield and North has exposed this previously. Eagles could also have 5 or 6 changes this week from our last game, Chris Hall, Matthew Broadbent and Sam Daveron are with the SA under 18's, Mark McKenzie will miss a couple, Paul Stewart may get a call up for Burgoyne, Jacky may still be in the Crows but Reilly may force him out and I expect we will still have McGregor. Call ups probably for Coleville, Hentshell, Petrenko and Daniel Roberts and Cody Hicks has recovered from injury...it gets pretty thin after this other than Zac Hier who has his spot pretty well covered.

I really hope to see Colville and Petrenko in the team this week. Not sure if Hentschel will be promoted, maybe one more week.

North need a good beginning unlike their slow start at Prospect against the Redlegs.

I saw the last Quarter of the first game at Prospect where North almost blew a 7 goal lead to win by a straight kick.

The Eagles will be too good. Eagles by 6 at least.
