In reality, it makes the concept a bit of a farce does it not?

Well said Bayman. Some don't understand that the game is between competitions , it's not State of origin. It has nothing do with where players come from its where they are playing.

well ill certainly be continuing my commentary to him as i did in at Sth Freo oval 4 yrs ago

i'll also be giving nick saunter 'hell' because everytime he was interviewed on the abc over the last couple of years he would end the interview with (paraphrasing) 'this (vfl) is clearly the best state league competition in australia' so i'll be asking him all sorts of ?'s

Firstly , who is he ? Secondly ( and this is serious) how desperate are they to be seen as the best state league. That reeks of players being influenced by someone of what to say. People reckon South Aussies are inferior !! I was 50/50 if going to the state game , but you just tipped me in favour Bayman.

Exactly, bayman and OCT. This match is to showcase the strength of our league against another. This is how the State matches were before State of Origin.

OCT, nick saunter is a full forward so we'll be able to 'chat' to him over the fence

Prior to 1977 (Vic V WA) all state footy was played with players representing the league they played for, not their state of origin, it's hardly a new concept, it is one league vs another league.

Did he play SANFL ? Sounds like he may be a bit bitter for not making it .

No doubt you'll ask him the appropriate questions Bayman.

I friggin understand it, and I loved it when Kenna kicked the clincher in the 2005 game. There was some real ironing in that...

Should be a cracking match though and there's probably more on the line than there would be if it was state of oregano... and probably more chance of us winning too...
