A bit off topic but our full forward Mark Passador was almost taken out by Richard Williams - a lovely shepherd by the ump. I'm sure Richard Williams would say he was almost taken out by Passador

I know both had a laugh and was excellent that this accidental contact was viewed that way and they could laugh - not like another League - although Mark was worried that in the slight bump he may have got a whistle in the face!!!

Not sure who should have got the free kick!!

That's OK , in the last quarter Passador took the ball out of bounds & still got a goal! The boundary ump was miles behind the play. Made no difference though, you still won easily CD, well played Eags.

I saw that, and that would have been the third quarter. In that case the goal umpire would have (or should have) assisted the boundary umpire. I thought it was out myself. But also, there was a touched decision which looked to have already cleared the line in the 2nd which went against us. However, the goal umpire there was in the best position, and that's good enough for me.

A lot of the live scores threads would surpass 50 quickly (with multiple matches) but as for a topic based it might be. Although we are not up to 40 yet. ;)

Makes me think of the third quarter in the Central v Glenelg game today. The goal umpire signalled out of bounds only to be overturned by the boundary umpire who told the goal umpire it was a point to Glenelg. Spelly, what is the ruling there? Is it the goal umpire or the boundary umpire who has the say whether the ball is out of bounds or a point?

joint discussion from any umpire to get the correct decision, if still unsure then the lowest 'result' comes into play which in this case would have been a throw in
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

I agree from my view Pass did hold the ball out over the line.
