Rowston, Williams and Foster....

I can't say I am too confident about this week. The way we lost against the Eagles was abysmal, and the past two games haven't just been losses but the word coming out of Adelaide is that Sturt seems to have been controlled for those games.
An absolute contrast to the first 4 games of the year where we ran rings around our opponents. I guess when we are on song we will tear our opponents a new one, but if our opponents get on top we will be kept out of it.
Surely we will recover from this but I am not sure if that will happen this week. West have been around the mark in just about all their games, I think if they'd just played their games out they would have won more than they have lost. This makes me think Sturt are very vulnerable ATM, and could lose to a side applying an honest work rate and hard brand of football for 4 quarters.
The Blues should get up though. We are too good to be kept down.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Westies can win this.

Put pressure on Strut and they fall. If Cupido can out muscle Chambers and with the flooding Westies have been doing, Westies can win by around 3 goals.

The place will be empty half way though last term when all the bandwagoner Strut supporters start leaving like they have done the last 2 weeks!!

They weren't very loyal back in the 90's when Sturt won 6 wooden spoons in a row. Well, maybe a hand full were. :D

What an utterly ridiculous statement you have made there champ.

Against the Bays the game was still in the balance until late in the last so everyone was pretty glued to the action. As for you the game at Thebarton, granted there were some pretty disappointed Sturt supporters where I was standing but I didn't see anyone do a "crows" and leave early.

A lot of senior players have been down in the last fortnight but I for one can't see that occuring for the third week running. The likes of Crane, Nelson, Whiteman, Chambers, Sheedy etc all of whom had a quiet day at Thebby, will bounce back and the Blues will win comfortably. With West, Port, North and Norwood all to come to House Brothers in the next four games, there is no reason why we can't turn 8-2 or at worst 7-3 at the halfway mark of the season.

It certainly isn't all doom and gloom at Unley but there are some changes and improvements needed starting with the Bloods this Saturday.

This top v bottom clash might be a better contest than you could normally expect.

Sturt will sorely miss the dash that Sharples brings and the decision to omit Herring was a little harsh I reckon. Having said that the form of Coad in the 2's has been great from all accounts.

Sturt's biggest issue from my point of view, seems to be their attitude at present. Too many players have not played with the required intensity over the last two weeks. Hopefully the boys have been brought back to earth after their disappointing consecutive losses.

This is our chance to steady the ship, get back some confidence and set the scene for the matches ahead...

Go Blues!

West will win this one.

A better showing against Port last week.

West by 3 goals.... the only win of the season.

Kind regards,

You sound pretty confident. Better go stick a grand on them... They're paying $6 according to todays paper!

Having taken a good look at both sides in the 'tiser this morning, I have to say I am supremely confident of a Sturt victory.

West will really miss Moran and with Clarke still on the injury list the Bloods are really going to struggle in the big man department. Feast, Kurtze, DeLuca, Perrie, Coad, Chambers........ On a dry day and smallish ground West simply do not have enough height or talent in their 21 to cope with the Sturt side.

West will have a crack no question, but at the end of the day class will show on the scoreboard.

Blues comfortably.

Ahh the international bird of Love.......

Snow white and the seven dwarfs have more hight than WAFC at the moment. We will have a crack you can see it in the group.

But the fact is even if we play out of our skin, if Sturt play reasonably well you cannot see a Bloods victory. It will take a below par game from Sturt and a good game from the Bloods for us to go home singing.

That being said I will be there with boots on and can't wait for the game.

Go you mighty Bloods :D
