Part way threw the first term I thought we were back in the80's
How could we lose today BRUCE tossed the coin one if not the best West Torrens (and then WWT) of the 80's.

Although the scores were fairly similar to the last time Sturt played at Thebarton - it was 19.8 to 10.9 then.

Sturt 18.15 Eagles 7.2. The League/Reserves form has switched now for us - both at 3 and 3.

That was a funny game WWT kicked the first 3 goals and i thought yes but no wWt fell away .
Pitty J Stewart looked like he had injured a hammy or goin looked very heavily iced during the game.

Another point, for all the effort by the players today, the reward is dropping out of the 5. We need to play South. ;)

Horrible, painful effort today from the Blues. How the Eagles came back after having their faces rubbed in it for the first 20 minutes was a sight to behold. Sturt are really being found out when the pressure is applied - Bays last week, hybrids again. They wouldn't want to take the game against Westies lightly on today's pitiful showing.

Eagles had winners all over the ground - we had no answer for Passador, Powell, Treeby, Salter & Grocke ran riot and Schwarze did a good job on Chambo. Our rucks were quite poor and Dabrowski showed why he is in the state team. The monkey on our back is a 40 foot gorill-ill-ill-ill-la!

after this week i would bet that tim weatherald would be in the team if he didn't 'retire' earlier in the year because sturt definately missed some grunt around the ball last week & from what i heard from mates (sturt barrackers) they missed the same today
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Eags seem to have the wood over Sturt.
Sturt were exposed today like last week, I believe West will do the same next week.

Well No-Mercy If west can get the ball away from centre before Sturt does then yes they can beat Sturt. But West will need to do it for more than 3 minutes .
Then again sturt will be wearing that jumper with white in it  and be playing a team with a sash jumper again 3rd week in a row.
Smart money might bet Westies for unpset.
So where is LEH and that Bandwagon ?

I wish he wouldn't, but, I assume he'll come out with a bang. After holding for suspense.

Seriously... can't we just forfeit these games. I'd rather just give the 2 points to Torrens than always be embarrassed by them.

Really getting tired of looking like such muppets against them...

Say thy name you $kurt bitch. Best Game I have seen Torrens play in twenty years of turning right at ashley street. $kurt came to the spiritual home of the eags on top, but dare I say it, are pretenders or the highest order. The Shearman cup really is a claytons cup when it is up for grabs but in reality it never leaves it's home.

Adam Grocke, Leigh Treeby, Mark Passador, Mark Mckenzie, Luke Powell in any order were better than anything the top side could dish up.

Sensational footy from the 20 minute mark of the first quarter. I'd say that really the umps contributed to sturts lead, with their frees and 25 metre penalties.

To $kurt number 52 you will get yours you champ
