A fantastic win against Sturt - 5.2 - 0.0 at the 20 min mark of the 1st to go on and win quite convincingly. I think the Eagles are back !!! :D :D :D

Well, it's interesting the form so far. A not too bad performance against North (based more on good kicking than anything else), crap against Glenelg and Port, good but still well below this decades best against Norwood and West, to the outstanding performance today, almost 2006 like form. I'm still not convinced though, a truer indicator is this coming week - probably the toughest assignment in the SANFL today.

I guess, I think that today to me seemed too good to be true. Wins against what now are 8th and 9th before beating a side that has already convincingly beaten Central and North, just feels that way.

I think the Eagles are now back to playing good consistent footy as they have for the last decade. The thing is, there are now 4 or 5 other clubs who are legitimate contenders, whereas in the past it has usually been Central/Eagles and only one of Sturt, Port, West or North to challenge. I think South, West and Norwood are going to struggle. I think Central, Sturt, Glenelg, North and the Eagles all have the potential to be Grand Finalists. Port, I'm unsure about. I haven't seen them yet this year, but they seem to be close to the mark and may push one of those 5 sides I mentioned out of the finals.

The Eagles still have a way to go, but at least now there is hope and I still think there will be a couple more additions that could take the side to another level. This time last year we were decimated by injuries, but at the moment we seem to be travelling ok in this area. So fingers crossed...

Norwood and West must be the new yardstick of the League

Wait for the thud this week, when they play Sturt, as the Eagles crash to the ground.

To quote Julius Caesar "Vēnī, vīdī, vīcī "
Translated well to Woodville West Torrens fans  it means Sturt are still are our Bitches and they even look like Bitches in that new Jumper.
Well ok my latin is rotten it means "I came I saw I conquered "
Not that I am getting to excited it was after all only Sturt

No doubt a great win and very important to get back to 50:50 with 3 wins
BUT we have played 6 games - most teams only 5 so they have a game on us and % puts us 6th.

Need to have some big wins BUT we are on the way with room to keep improving- we can and i'm sure will do better as the season goes on.

If you havent joined up as a member yet then get on board - I reckon we are in for a great ride this year as members - the boys have shown with yesterday's effort they are determined to do well.

A true indication of our form will come this week when we venture out to Elizabeth on Saturday night. We don't have a bad record out there (cue spelly - for head to head record at Elizabeth) haven't won of a night at Elizabeth only playing the one game so far. I think we can win if only all 21 players wearing the blue, green and gold that night carry that same belief we could be in for a crackerjack game. Worthy of game of round status if not played at night.

And while the Woodville record won't be in our favor, I suspect Thebbie and Footy Park are looking rosie red for the Dogs in heah to head matchup.

Do you wish the game moved to Thebby or Footy Park ST?

I'm amazed at the Woodville record, but I can't account from 1991-1999. I knew we had a great record since 2000, however.
I'll take AAMI - they generally (80%) are October matches I have fond memores of...
