TB, there's good, wide streets on the sthn side of Thebby Oval, I doubt there'll be a big crowd anyway.

Eagles V Sturt at Thebarton Oval 3-05-08

Postby sturtpeter » Wed Apr 30, 2008 12:26 pm

This promises to be a great clash.

Eagles slowly getting back to their optimum form, and Sturt angry after an inappropriate loss at home to the Brilliant Bays.

Sturt have not beaten the Eagles since Unley in 2003. Will this change on Saturday? I say we are the best going around and will win by 34 points.

Go U Blues! :D

Interesting to see Paynter named. I think this will be his debut if he makes the cut??

Possible father/son for the Crows??

Good to see Robbie Fiacchi making another comeback after the best part of 2 years out with injury. Good luck to him.

Salter named at Full Back shows how important and dangerous the coaching staff think Chambers is. Fuller is still working on a solid back line, naming Schwarze and Jarrad on the half back flanks and removing McKenzie from the midfield to hold down Centre Half Back.

Whether the Eagles have a strong enough midfield and forward line to allow these players to be used in the back half all the time remains to be seen. I do think it is a good thing that the coaching staff are trying these things. Treeby into the centre has worked well. There is some talent in the reserves and a couple still to come back though injury. I think we have the talent to beat Sturt and will need to be at our best to beat them.

The Torrens guernsey looks fantastic and great to see Hills allowed their logo to only take up a small part of the guernsey AFL style leaving the sash free of any desicration.
Well done to all involved, I want one!
Are they being Ebayed?
