Had to work today (as usual) could only listen to the first 5 or so minutes but the early signs were ominous. The Bays seemed to be on top even during the early stages. As I was working I just had a feeling that it wasn't going to end well. Read the blogcall on DB. org and it sounds as though they were jsut too good.
Well done Bays.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Stoked...good win by the lads. Well done Mulsey & Bodey.

Kept the pressure on all day, and never headed...

a very appropriate result which could be the start of a renaissance and era...

Realistically the Bays should have rolled us by 10 goals with the amount of posessions they had.

Yeah I agree we have a lot of work to do.

Forward line is still learning to work together - too many blokes flying for the one ball occasionally - whose front and square.

Gave away free silly free kicks off the ball - need to maintain our discipline better.

Despite being free and running through the middle we didn't hit targets.

Our Defensive work was very good the offensive side of our game still has a lot of work to do.

A good win No One at Brighton Rd is getting carried away by it as it we count for two fifths of bugger all if we don't back it up against Centrals next week.

However as I sit here and type - hows the serenity!!!!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

we got to the front & was never headed, sturt fought it out for the entire game but everytime sturt got close we kicked a steadier

it was a great game of pressure football & it is a shame that the weather kept some away & the tv showed the debacle at richmond    oh we're from tigerland

Seriously today was just a great game of footy.

The skills were pretty good - especially the marking - for a wet day there was some great marks taken by both sides - especially under pressure.

The tackling and harrassing by both sides was excellent, no quarter asked for and no quarter given. Halfway through the 3rd quarter I was actually thinking no one side deserved to lose as both teams were playing real good footy and having a fair dinkum crack.

I would not be surprised if Sturt beat us at Glenelg oval next game such is the quality of their team and I would think after today their desire for revenge.

All in all a great game of SANFL footy.

Not too sure how many "GREAT " games you have seen Stampy but that was not one of them. I thought Sturt were very ordinary and lacked intensity fron what I have seen so far. That is not taking anything from the bays , they were good. Very well coached I reckon , he seems to be the one coach that cracks Sturts game plan. Good wake up all for the Blues and there are a couple of moves that could be made and are now becoming obvious. I know Rick said it would take 5-6 weeks to sort some things out . One bloke that I have some doubts over from what I have seen is Cubillo.

Anyway well done , Sturt had their chance to get right back in it in the last Q but were not good enough and if they did would have been an injustice.

Big game next week against the Eagles.

I will say this , did we witness a Glenelg side that could be a GF side. ??

I reckon yes and about time .

That's right Stampy.
You couldn't get to the game because you were still in bed and someone stole your wheelchair. :)

I have been saying all year you guys will be very very good. But how can you say it was a great game ? You werent there? Trust me a great game is 2 good sides on the day playing well , I thought there was only 1 good side today and that was the bays. Very well coached at this stage he has Sturt beaten , he knows how to beat us.
