Taken from the email to eagles members

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
At our post match presentation I apologised to our members, who were in attendance, for our performance on the weekend.

On behalf of the players and the match committee I would like to also apologise to those members who weren’t there.

It just isn’t the way we want to play the game.

I have often said to the players that reputations take a long time to build but can be dismantled with one poor effort.

It is up to everyone involved in the Club to fight back and rebuild our reputation and this week at home against Port Adelaide is the ideal time to start.

Ron Fuller

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope the players react to last week performance.

Funny Tassie I know I have been harsh on you this week no malice intended by the way .

I just think back to a week ago when the bays fans were in a similar position . The eagles had lost to North by a goal.Glenelg looked rotten by bays fans reports .
This week the EAGLES were absolute rubbish Port lost by less than a goal.

Grocke played two seconds games before this week .So might be a call on his fitness .

Nice to see Salter playing closer to goal again.

Lane mentioned as a maybe on the bench .Is he a tall blonde guy playing down back the last two weeks or a small my memory is going.

On the website it says Jacky is an out to the Crows, Biagi on the forward flank and Broadbent on to the extended interchange bench. Hentschel is named in the reserves so all the best to him. Some handy players in that reserves side!

Pies have named 17 year old Zane Kirkwood for his first SANFL match. Won the BnF in the U17s last year, plus Best player in the finals. Only turned 17 in Feburary so very young. 175cm, great little rover. Has a lot of talent.

Also named Xavier Watson and Michael Clinch for their 3rd and 2nd matches. Both also have a lot of talent. Im looking for X to play every game from now on. I reckon hes ready to shine!

I really think they are playing silly buggers. Hoping the club comes home with a big rush at the end of the year when they have 4 or 5 games at home !!

That's a cheap shot considering this is only round 3. I seem to remember 2006 we lost the first 2 games and still went on to win the premiership. A little too early for that sort of call I would have thought wedgie.
