I saw a girl in the crowd on Saturday night with one on and it actually looked quite good, better than their home one.
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

I think we've put our game in an awkward position by making the colours more than they should be IMHO. In England the EPL sides don't hesitate when thinking about making a strip that doesn't use their main colour/colours. Man U case in point with their away strip white. Aussie rules teams have made the colours so important to their identity that unless you already have white in your guernsey there's no way you can have white vs dark strips. Sturt vs Dogs at HHO will always be blue vs blue unless Sturt somehow convince themselves to use a different colour combo. Of course then they wouldn't really be the double blues anymore!

I'm a fan of Centrals new guernsey. It's a simple, yet effective change.

Centrals (and the Eagles) have shown us that you don't to do anything extravagant to create an away/clash guernsey - a simple colour rearrangement does the trick just as well.

Will Centrals 'white' guernsey generate a change in the umps uniforms - I can't see them just donning trainee tops for Centrals away games (like they did in the 80's game last year).

They could also reverse their colours too - all white with navy SA monogram.

The link has a computer generated image of the guernsey (option 2 is the chosen guernsey), I can't even find a SANFL page on AdelaideNow.

Must say as an opposition supporter when I looked at the 2 designs I prefered the design the CDFC chose. Well done CDFC great inovation. Does this mean we can finally wear our home jumper when we play you guys at woodville.

Yes, spot on well said

We are very attached to our guernseys here in other world sports its simply enough that the team is playing. In the NFL they often rotate every colour in their scheme in different combos and always use white in away strips whether it's in their colour scheme or not. Same with basketball.

IMO we should also cut the SANFL clubs some slack when they use sponsors logos - we all know the SANFL clubs need all the $$$ they can get. If they thought of strips as advertising space 100 years ago they would have done it then too!

Back on topic .... I think Central's alternate strip looks great!
In between signatures .....
