Nup, if I was I would have picked Port or tipped it to be close.
Port battling with South for the wooden spoon this year IMHO.

What do you base that on mate, Port to finish 8 or 9?

The fact that they're crap, they screw a clubman out of the captaincy, morale wont be great if similar to last year a majority of the players don't get paid monies owed to them until after the Auction Night, etc, etc.

Don't be concerned though, every team I pick year in year out to be wooden spooners or near it usually win at least one final.

whufc wrote:Miller is definatly the x factor and the one who worries me the most. One area Central may lack is a quick small defender and Miller has speed to burn and magic to match. In the first two trial games Farmer (sturt) and Jackky (eagles) murdered the Dogs. As good as players such as Cochrane and Switala are they do lack genuine pace these days. This maybe one avenue to goal Port might find sucessful. I think Danny Boyle may get first gig on Miller.

Miller is definately a worry, for supporters aswell, in the internals he couldnt run a bath, the last 3 trials he has kicked goals an appeared in the best players????????

Il take the wooden spoon then if thats how its worked for you previously.
Mark Clayton should never have been made captain. Hard player, long time servant but that dosnt instantly make you captain material. Having the balls to voice your opinion on and of the feild also is required, was like a church mouse for his captaincy period.....

Just a prediction mate, after last nights effort i really dont think it will be to far off either.
I know you cant really read to much into a trial game, but for round 1 there is not to much else to go on.

Doggies will be inspired by a huge crowd and the 2007 flag presentation before the game. We will smack the magpies by 8 - 12 goals.

Anyone game to make a crowd predicition for this saturday. Ill go with 6000.
Centrals 16.11 107 North 5.12 42 the dynasty continues .

I'd say Centrals by 23 points. These games are generally nice and close, and I expect Saturday to be no different.

Crowd: 8500-9000 (if the corresponding game last year got 6300 on a wet night, with the flag unfurling and nicer weather there should be more).
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10
