And you can be delisted even if you're contracted apparently. Several of Fremantle's delisted players were under contract from what I understand.

I think he should stay in Sydney-who would run his seafood restaurants if he left?

You can delist players under contract, but the remainder of their salary is still counted towards the next years salary cap. Its why its fairly rare for players to be delisted whilst under contract and why some players that have 'retired' have still been kept on a list (Voss for example) for a year whilst not playing.

Doyle would be a very good SANFL ruckman if he can actually stay out on the park. 47 games in 8 years (including just 8 in the past 3 seasons) shows he hasnt been able to get out on the park enough. One of those talented players that has lost out on a good career because of injury. Always showed a lot of promise but always seemed to injure himself for long periods.

It is very risky running from the bench to the centre once a quarter!

If you play Norwood under lights more often they won't have to worry too much about it

Doyle has announced his retirement from Sydney, so guess we wait and see now where he plays.

If rumours are correct, Clarke will be joined @ North by former South and Swans ruckman Stephen Doyle.

Maybe that's why Wakelin retired!

Steady up you vultures, Steve's dad Robert was on the board at South for many years and was a good ruckman for the Panthers in late 1970's and the club has had correspondence with big Steve to return to the fold, so, like Torney it's not a done deal with any club as yet.

again, it is mainly non-North supporters declaring him done & dusted to the Roosters...

North and the Eagles do appear to be circling South like vultures. Wedgie reckons 1 of Doyle or Parry will be at Prospect next year.

Apparently South are the most aggressive player in the post season recruting crapshoot this year and offering big money to all and sundry. Whether it works remains to be seen I guess.

I never said that, someone suggested we put in a wishlist and Parry/Doyle and Clarke were my wishlist, go back and read your post before it and the context it was written in.
I wouldn't have a clue about either of them, they were just players I would want to fill Wakelin's spot as Clarkey fills Banger's spot nicely.
Please don't misquote or misrepresent me, I don't get annoyed at most things but that I do.

Only two clubs appear to have signed anyone who played league for South in 2007. If they are former Eagles it is interesting that they are being welcomed back to the club after quitting or not returning after being on an AFL list.
