ha ha no thanks, its all hippies and crims down there.

Environmentally-conscious hippies, but. Nothing wrong with them. Also, not far from The Star of Greece ! Lovely! Also, a short drive from the best pub in the world, The Victory Hotel!!!!!

Agreed. West dominate that competition, in much the same way they don't dominate the footy.

Because its not even close, Richmonds is the best and Noarlunga's not far behind it with a few others before you'd get to Prospect.
Minimal variety at Prospect and not to mention the average attendant there is 95 and takes an hour to serve one person.
Worst is easily Alberton, I wouldn't even call it meat what they sell. Had a few bad gastric episodes from the Bays BBQ to, but they went down OK at the time.

Ahh, now we see why you have a false impression of the North BBQ.

I didn't say he was that old, I just said that the average attendant there was 95.

Considering one bloke looks about 150 your uncle might be 45.

I smell a conspiracy theory.

Isn't one of your major sponsors Griffin Hilditch lawyers?

And isn't John Bannon (or at least he was) an avid North fan?

Andrew Hilditch and John Bannon are up to their nuts in guts at the SACA.

Is it just NAFC trying to scare the Prospect council?

(Same as the Bays did a gazillion years ago when they played one season at footy park)

NAFC haven't tried to scare or say anything, their only comment on the matter was that they made a mistake by playing 3 or 4 home games there and it wouldn't happen again.

SACA's just starting at the top and working their way slowly down their wish list as they're keen to get more use out of their run down hole.
I'm sure if they keep working their way down the list and don't give up trying then an amateur club might be willing to move there.
That would be appropriate as so many things about the place is amateur.

PS I haven't seen John Bannon at a North game or event since the 80s.

Why would any club WANT to play at AO, apart from the fact that the finals are played there ?

The catering is SHOCKING, the prices are EXORBIDENT, the beer is MID-STRENGTH (& XXXX to boot) & then you add the fact that the Western Stands are being demolished or 'redeveloped', if the wind blows anything like it did on Sunday, God help those in the Chappell Stands !!!

Prospect is one of MY favourite grounds, always has been since I was a 'wee-takka'.
Easy to get to on Public Transport, good facilities (although a concession stand could be located on the outer wing for away fans) & generally good food sold.

This is a beat up, isn't it Wedgie ??

As I said mate, nothing to do with North, its only the SACA wanting the best to Adelaide Oval.
Fat chance of North agreeing to it as we don't need cash so no financial incentive could do it.
If they get a 3rd AFL license happening we might consider it.

North supporters would want to play home games at AO as the Weslo Gestapo will evict them if they do the quietest of farts. My North workmate got evicted Sunday for saying s h i t!! (missed the Norf comeback!!)

He wasn't the only one, there were a few, just think this week the Weslo nappy wearers have to put up with us and Centrals supporters, betta not say anything or the oval will be empty by half time. It's not ok for us to be noisy or let the odd swear word out but I took great offence to being called a drunken yobbo by one Weslo nappy muncher, know I am a yobbo but not a drunk :D

Bet you he was saying "* * * *" then too!

Ironic that we're complaining about secruity kicking someone out for using that word, when we have to space the letters apart so we can avoid the swear filter!

I also have one VERY close relative (and another that helps sometimes) that works in there ..... its always very busy they must be doing something right - tastes great to me! (and I don't pay for it either)

Criticise the facilities if you want but lets leave the personal jokes out of it I reckon

As for the 150 year old he's there picking up cans and bottles to raise $ for the club well after most of us have left

Poor old bugger probably has to to make up for the freeloaders that aren't paying for their sausages and are as good as stealing from the club!
Seriously though, if you read my comment and had a basic understanding of maths you'd understand that its possible your father is 45 also.
It's not rocket science mate.

PS Only bloke I see there picking up cans after a game is Darryl Reid and he's never been in the BBQ.
