At this stage West look like the only club out of them North and Port who will earn the right to be in the comp next year via their top 3 SANFL position.
what would happen if north or port won the foxtel cup this year & didn't finish top 3 (as it looks like) would they get a 'wildcard' entry ?
will be intersting to see where they go with it, imho they would deserve the right to play in the following years comp.
imho would be a good way to create credibility and establish its own history ala back to winners, reigning foxtel cup premiers etc etc.
realistically there are a few teams in there who are miles below being competitive so an extra spot to one of the SANFL, VFL or WAFL would only make the comp stronger.
