The parking (or alleged lack of) is a Prospect Council issue, not a North Adelaide FC issue.

Fair enought PR
So that would be the same at every other oval if there is a PARKING PROBLEM.At least no one tried to knick my number plates like they tried to do at Unley Oval !!

I find Woodville and Prospect as the two best places to find parking. I can get within 10 metres of the playing oval.
Glenelg, Richmond and Elizabeth are all good too although not quite as close.
Noarlunga and Alberton involves a 50 m walk.
Norwood's not too bad as with a bit of nouse you can still rock up 5 mins before the game and be a block away from the Parade with a walk through.
It basically comes down to if you've been going to games for a while or not, if you're a newcomer then I can understand why you'd find problems.

It was, hard as nails!

Seriously though, great for CD to catch up with me when Im had man to catch up with at times, a top bloke who I'll never get sick of talking footy with, the Eagles are lucky to have such a dedicated man on board.

CD is a top bloke as is Chris .Both do a fantastic job with the stats.
Had a very quick chat with both today .As well as Luke Jarrads Aunt after she tripped on the GS stairs and lost her buckets of chips !!

Spelly how about how many times the Eagles have had a loss like that with a forward kicking 8 goals ?

Good thinking mickyj, because no Eagles player has kicked more than 8 goals in a losing side. Scott Morphett kicked 8 goals in a losing side twice in 1991 - 8.2 against Port in Round 9 and 8.3 against West in Round 24.
Also, Schwarze has become the 6th Eagles player to kick 7 goals or more in a match twice or better - the Kluzek brothers, Morphett, Andrew Taylor and a player who was missing from the side today, Mark Passador.
Schwarze has equalled the most number of goals kicked by an Eagles player in Round 1 - Passador also got 8 last year.

Two more I have been thinking about Spelly .
Staples how many goals did he kick today ? and has any other first gamer for the Eagles kicked the same amount.
Roberts is his the longest games between first league game and second league game .

Two goals he kicked - the record for a first gamer for the Eagles is 5.2 by Rhett Biglands in Round 6 1996.
It was Roberts third game today - the Budget shows the records up to but not including today. However, if it was his 2nd, it falls well short of the record - Scott Freeborn played in Round 10 1995, and his next game was in the Preliminary of 2004.

For people who didn't watch the game today they'd think that the Eagles accurate kicking put them into this game but that was far from the truth, North's tally included 6 or 7 posters and the Eagles tally included at least 4 out on the fulls so in theory it could have been a 2 point game at the end.
North today were like Geelong were on Easter Thursday and Eagles today were like the Powder on Easter Thursday, very similar games.
Both times the good guys got up who were both dominant IMHO.

Here is a drunk 9HOORAY FOR Beer) summation of today's game.

North were much the better team for most of the game. I;m still not sure how the eagles got within 1 goal in the end. There were a few Eagles players out of their depth out there. But for positives. Rimington played very well. Roberts was more than capable in the ruck - his team mates need to honour his leads more often and have confidence to go to him. Guiffreida was excellent in defence.

Best players for the Eags I thought were Dabrowski, Powell, Giuffreda, Rimington.

Some good passages of play, mixed with some poor basic efforts at the ball, which should not be acceptable when playing for the eagles. Biagi, Geddes and Fitzgerald in particular need to improve their hardness at the body and ball.

Yep spot on Wedgie.
What some of us Eagles fans liked was the fact that our team ,with so many TEENAGERS and first game players kept hanging in there.Or in other words the Eagles footy team did not give up they kept having ago against a far superior team. And that superior team did stop with 10 minutes to go,unlike north teams in the past who keep going and going.Bad kicking will not always win you a footy game but it did on saturday.
Lets all face the fact that FOOTBALL is a marathon not a sprint .the eagles will get better and I am sure North will improve as well.

Underage results.
Round 1 Eagles v North @ Woodville Oval

U17s
Eagles 4.3 11.7 15.9 26.10.166
North 0.0 1.2 3.5 4.8.32

Only down side from this game is that we let North kick 4 goals. North's 1st in the 12th minute of the 2nd that went goal to goal untouched by us, including a couple 25 metres.

U19s
Eagles 4.3 9.5 17.8 22.10.142
North 5.2 9.5 13.6 15.10.100

This was close in the 1st half, then we pulled away in the second.

For the Mighty Eags to go down by 6 points with so many of our first choice players out is a pretty good effort from my point of view, even if that was from Woodville Oval, which is where I was.

Many might say the Roosters should have won the game by 7-8 goals. They were clearly unlucky with the amount of posters that were kicked (one for spelly is that the highest number of posters kicked by a team in a single game). Though in the last term when they had a chance to kick away and gain some percentage they fell asleep. Full credit to the Eagles who never stopped trying and it must be said without some errant kicking out on the full could have walked away with the 2 points. This clearly wasn't a full strength Eagles side with names like Wright, Passador, Grocke, Twomey, R.Fiacchi, Colville, Symonds, Cicolella all watching on from the stands. The signs look positive moving forward for the Eagles.

The game also seen 5 players make their league debut's for the Eagles - Biagi, Staple, Mackie, Jacky and Hicks. Also a handful of other players incl Roberts, Geddes, Rimmington, Fitzgerald, Guiffreda and J Stewart had played a total of 35 games between them. Good effort I think considering at least half of our side had little to no sanfl league experience at all.

A very good sign, with more games under their belts the side can only get better.
