Disappointing end to the game to see a 5 goal lead get eaten away was not good to watch. The breeze definately effected our kicking for goal but you have to learn to deal with those sorts of conditions. The injuries certainly didn't help either would be interested to see how they pull up during the week. Time to bounce back now and the key to that is going the 3 tall forward line structure that we've used most of season, it was clear playing 4 talls didn't work. Maybe Rugolo should be given some consideration and it would be interesting to see if Pasa gets up for next weeks game.

If you have one tall forward too many at the moment, where will Pasa fit?

Players you would think would come into consideration for next week would be Inkster (return from injury), Passador (return from injury), Rugolo, Fairclough and Petrenko.

Players in doubt would be Colville and Treeby due to injury and under the pump would have to be Redden, Symmons and Grocke.

I would like to see McGregor tried on the half back line or deep forward. I think the forward line became predictable for the Eagles today and would have liked to see some more movement. i.e. Schwarze out to CHF for a while - Salter one out in the forward 50 for a while. Just something to change things up.

Passador always, and I mean ALWAYS kills the Roosters, very glad he wasn't playing today.

Symonns, yes, a bit disappointing. Thought Redden was reasonable.

We did miss Passa a lot today. I thought Fairclough should have played as well.

going in with too many talls up forward ruined it for us today

windy day you only need 2 talls

fairclough and petrenko should have played

the eagles went into 50 more and had more scoring shots

thats what killed us poor kicking, no crumbers around the ball, accountability for your man and pace to run the lines,

passador, inkster, fairclough will come back in next week

treeby was concussed for most of the day

apart from the loss seeing skipworth there unable to play for us was a huge blow

boy do we miss him!

I have heard inkster is still not right for next week. Colville apparantly strained his hamstring and might not play. Fairclough should replace him.
Others who struggled were lomas and cooper who had quiet days.
Grocke had to pass a fitness test on sunday morning passed that but played a shocker and spent a lot of time on the bench. Rumours are that Geddes was going in if he didnt pull up.

i think we were a bit too predictable up forward and didnt change things around enough. We also had too many shots from long range and missed a lot. North flooded back quickly and clogged our forward lines which made it hard to get a mark close to goal.
Eagles had many more inside 50's but couldnt capitalize. Then when Treeby and colville went off injured we lost a lot of drive from the midfield and then Ladhams was dangerous. North seemd to have a lot more run late.
Glenelg will be tough next week

This hurts to say this but well done North Adelaide you out played the EAGLES on Sunday .
To look back on the EAGLES side that lost .
Why did they drop the youngsters the pace was missed yesterday .Why did they play Grocke he cost the eagles goals with his 25 metre penalties.

So onto Glenelg next week :( .

Eagles have been hot and cold throughout games all year so the result followed how they've been playing. Not one game all year have we had a 4 quarter effort and that is a death wish against the better sides.
Confident that we can beat Glenelg with a 4 quarter effort. Would bring in the run of Petrenko and Fairclough though. Colville to miss and Redden and Grocke on thin ice. Even swap Symmonds for Vinnie.

Very poor kicking for goal cost us this game - not just points, but out of bounds on the full several times as well. In the third quarter we could easily have been eight or nine goals in front, and then North would never have caught us.

perhaps Ronny should have spent more time of tactics than telling his players one of the biggest ways to get on top and win was to take the north groggies out of the game, geez i know we play hard but didn't think we deserved all that credit. Must have had a few weslo idiots on his side as well cause they tried (unsuccessfully mind you) to do the same thing
