Round of applause...finally, some commonsense from a North supporter.

He'll fit in well at Freo.
In 2003 we had no money to spend and managed to come 1 spot behind Glenelg.
In 2008 we had more money than any other club to spend and managed to come 6 spots behind Glenelg.

Thanks Jars, turn the lightst out on the way out mate.

goes to show money dont buy success. switch the light on Jars and do what you done in the 1st years as coach when everyone wanted to pat you on the back

A friend in Freo has confirmed that the club has a short list, but no final decision has been made. He doesn't know if Jars is on it [he says] but suspects his reputation as a "larrikin" may be viewed with some caution by the senior coach, although his football skill is respected.

Why should a club's supporters not want the best for the club? Blindly sticking by anyone is how many good organisations have fallen. North, like all clubs should be always assessing whether any individual is the best for the job. You don't want people being sacked all the time, but once someone is not the best available for the job the club in this case should act quickly to get that right person involved. The dogs had Clarkson, but decided he wasn't the best for the club. Clarkson won a flag and lost a GF in his 2 seasons at the helm, a record Jarman doesn't compare to. Clarkson was moved on and the club got bigger and better. And when the time comes that Grant, Laird or anyone at the CDFC is no longer the best for their job I'd hope that the decision is made quickly and with as little disruption as possible. If it's time to part ways, then the NAFC needs to make that decision in the best interests of the club. However, if Jarman is the right person for the job the NAFC should sign him ASAP and the supporters should get behind him. Blind faith led to the crusades and the third reich. Nobody is above being questioned, nobody is always right and nobody deserves a job for life.

North Adelaide part company with Andrew Jarman

Postby CK » Wed Sep 10, 2008 5:51 pm

As per link below, from Zac Milbank of The Advertiser

http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/stor ... 01,00.html

It is uncertain when the process to appoint a successor will commence.

Necessary passion???

Oh well, it seemed inevitable, whatever the reasoning the club provided.

Jars was always going to alienate people at some point in his reign but he at least managed to get the club out of the doldrums and into the finals. More than some have achieved at other clubs in the same period.

Totally disagree with the passion bit, Jars was always passionate about the club and his coaching

Looks like many of the snipers have finally hit their target.

Congratulations to Andrew Jarman on getting North Adelaide Footy Club out of the drain it was in before he started as head coach. I hope the footy club honours this man for what he has managed to achieve. Spooner to Grand Finalist.

Perhaps it was referring to Jar's own recent comments that he wasn't sure if he had the passion or something similar to continue on 2009. A few pointed out that if you're questioning yourself then you're probably not the right person for the job.

Jars is a character, I don't think I'll ever hear a coach more inspiring at the huddles in my lifetime, he had his bad points and his good points as do we all. I wish him all the best in the future and look forward to future chats with him.

I wonder if Darren would consider sticking around or would consider himself a package deal with ANJ?
Hopefully similarly to last time Jars left us we have the ultimate success within a couple of years. :D

I would call Jars a lot of things but "not passionate" is one thing I don't think I would.

Interesting phrase to use in announcing the decion to part company.

"Not the coach we see going forward", "taken this group as far as it could go", "not the right tactical skill set we see going forward" but "not passionate"????
