Wheres he going?

Work, young family I believe. Probably end up back at Henley I'd say.

Great player and will be sadly missed. Form good enough to go on for at least a couple of years but follows the trend of players retiring before their time.

On the plus side, his departure will free up a fair bit of salary space to hopefully land a couple of ex-Eagles likely to be axed by AFL clubs

But for some reason they don't always want to come back to us. Why??

They don't seem to have a salary cap either.

We've generally done pretty well in recent years - Petrenko, Stewart, Redden and Hayes all returned to us when they got delisted. We missed out on MacMahon who went to Sturt and he would have been handy. Don't think we lost anything by having McDonough go to North.

We didn't actually miss out on McMahon, spoke to him but club couldn't fit him in and suggested to Sturt they might like to look at him.
Club hope to land any of Sutcliffe, Toumpas and Karpanny. Need a few more bigs and pace.

We'll take all three thanks! All of them can deliver the ball well by foot. Our forwards need a few more players who kick drop punts low and hard instead of the slow, loopy kicks from Boyd or Hall or the scrubby kicks by Firns.

Of the three only Toumpas has been delivered - not sure what is going on with the other two but they would have to be on their last legs.

I heard he was very unimpressed by them . So you are saying they referred him to another club . That could make it 3 players Sturt got that the Eagles refused. All premiership players.

West Coast have not done any delistings at the moment as they played in the grand final. I think Fremantle had planned to have a good look at Sutcliffe and give him the last 5 or 6 matches to assess him, but he did a bad hammy after the second match and didn't play any more. Would think Freo would assess extent of hammy and also look at what they can draft in and trade for before making a decision on Sutcliffe.
Heard that Jimmy T. might be having ops. on both his shoulders, don't know how bad they are!!
