Loose man in defence, when the turn over was created they had options everywhere. From midway through the second they took control, and once they started kicking straight, Sturt had no answer. That number 35 in the forward line looks as though he will be playing AFL next year, unless he is in his late 20's or has something wrong with him, or wants nothing more than to play SANFL... but he looks quite young, big, atheletic, skilled and friggin dangerous to the socerboard. The Bays also had a few other running types that stuck out, but that 35 is hard to forget.
Sturt did fade out about halfway through the second, and with Reily and Battersby out of the side perhaps lacked the spark to reignite.
Bays will play finals, and look headed for the Grannie.

I was at the game us a neutral supporter. Glenelg played very well. Sturt looked flat and whenever they challenged the Bays they had the answers.
3/4 time hundle saw Marty Mattner very vocal and animated.
Let's see how well the Bays go away from their home ground on a bigger oval next week at Noarlunga.
Will be a good contest.

We have struggled on the bigger grounds for years - Noarlunga, Elizabeth, Woodville...

Early prediction for next week, 2000+ crowd, consisting of 100 South supporters, tops....

I have just been reading over the thread and have a serious question.
I was previously under the impression that Euge was a good bloke but have heard several damning stories as of late the completely contradicting that notion. I know Rostrevor have several specific examples of shall we say questionable leadership There are however two sides to every story but some of their details are pretty disgraceful if even half true.
Is he genuinely an average bloke or even worse and did he actually flip off the crowd?

That is Timmy Sumner.
He has already has a crack in the AFL with Gold Coast, but gave it up due to personal problems.

Eagles absolutely dominated that quarter - 8.2 to 0.1, 135-63 disposals, 18-4 inside 50s, 38-19 cont poss, 73-28 hb rec, 14-5 clearances. Poole had 12, Comitogianni 10 and Rowland 10. Eagles couldn't miss a target that quarter, Westies couldn't win the ball.
