Not saying he is not a good player just that there are a plethora of good half backs in the comp and it isn't coincidence that sides like Centrals, Sturt and Glenelg have lost less games combined than what Westies have in total - solid backlines.
IMO the stiffest* half back to miss out is Ben Mules but there are only so many spots - you can't pick everyone.

Yes some of his stats (k m h) are down but his team (1%er) stats are still right up there. He has been playing well its just that his contribution has been harder to spot becasue of other players in our squad stepping up to his high standards - thats why we currently sit 6-1 as opposed 1-6 this time last year![]()
There are many players you can make a case for to be included in the half back line as I mentioned earlier
