SA's midfield dominating but WA rebound as our forwards can't do much when Chambo doesn't get it. :(

Great mark by Whitey after some awesome play by Sheedy and Backwell who are dominating.

White goals! The VC fires up!
Scores level

7-4 apiece.

There's some terrible players out there today who I'd be replacing before we replace the good ones!
scott's stats tell pretty well much the story.
If it wasn't for our midfielders who are playing well we'd be 10 goals down!

your backing my argument up. If we are winning all the clearances our midfielders should be kicking long yet we have had 8 less inside fifties. Our midfielders have had the bulk of possesion as you would expect and we have had 51 short kicks compared to 17 long kicks.

We have had 3 more center clearances yet 8 less inside 50's i think that says alot about what the midfielders are doing with the ball.

Not sure how Im backing your argument up by preferring to be 12 points down instead of 10 goals down but I'd say the short kicks would have more to do with the conditions mate. The fact is out of the 3 parts of the field the one we're winning (besides Chambers in the first quarter) is the midfield.
Let's be logical and talk about replacing the poorer players who are losing their position first.
The midfielders were kicking long when required in the first quarter to Chambo.
The tactics of the game don't allow for a lot of long kicking at the moment otherwise you'd just be turning it straight over which would be dumb.

Shouldn't the weather conditions mean we should be trying to kick the ball long and not be cute with it.

Your right when we were going long to Chambers we looked really good and we were putting scoreboard pressure on, then we started kicking short.

There is players performing worse al la Ryan Williams, but the Midfielders are causing the problem for the forward line, by the time we get it in there WA have been able to drop a few back if we kicked long and quickly it would change the whole structure.

A defence is under the pump because the midfielders aren't kicking the ball long up to half forward line instead there losing it kicking short no further up than the center of the ground.

Thats the way boys kick long and have faith in our quality forwards Chambers, White and Alleway.

Ty Allen doing some great things now, keeping the ball up forward.
Gummy playing well too.
Backwell pushing for the medal.

Umpiring still crap.

50 metres penalties:
WA - 2
SA - nil

Not quite mate, they are kicking long with the breeze but when the ball is soaked and they're kicking into a 5 goal breeze its going to be short.
Simple science, or is it rocket science?
If the ruck can hold on and we can lift up forward and in defence we can still win this game. Midfield are doing fantastic! :D

And Backwell and Allen.
Hopefully Allan can continue on the midfield form as he's just come off the bench.

They are every where, the forward line will be just fine if we get the ball in quick enough to them.

Just because someone picks up 30 possesions doesn't mean they are dominating.

Meyer hasn't impressed me today, first real time Ive watched him play.

Our smaller players in the forward line need to lift.

WOW! The midfield has been great! :D
Probably bombing it long a bit too much and need to look at taking the short option more often though.
