Even if we are physically intimidated, I reckon we have better skills than Sturt. As long as we can limit the impact of Sturt's midfield and our defenders play at their best (especially Sibba on Chambo and Shelly on Perrie) then we will be looking good for a 3 goal win... !!!

Not that I think Sturt are physically stronger overall but Sibba on Chambo ?? I dont think he will win the physical stakes there .........and Schell on Perrie ???? Are you serious , I wouldnt mind betting if he does go on Perrie he may shit on him cos I think he may get a bit intimidated. ( in other words .......dont they call him Michelle ?)

Chris Gowans looked fit as a fiddle tonight at training, Cam Faulkner hadn't appeared on the track by the time I left so can't comment on his availability.

Also had a look inside the construction zone (aka new gym and pool facility). Starting to look a treat, pool will be installed at the end of next week, roof to be put on next week/week after.

Also saw the new umpires rooms (mens and womens showers - how the game has changed!) and new visitors rooms (hopefully the complaints about all visitors rooms ends now, given the SANFL have paid for everyone to upgrade - mens and womens showers in there too, specifically for last Saturday night apparently  ).

More new carpet inside the club since last weekend as well - it's all happening at the Ponderosa!

Yeah okay, I guess you are right OCT, with Sibba being the best of option for "Betty" Chambers (bearing in mind he did a very good job on him in the early trial and is clearly our strongest defender) Daniel Schell is not the next best defensive option for Perrie. I rekon we will have to play Ian Callianan or Mathew Slade on him, what do you reckon. Maybe even Chris Gowans can do the job ?? !! :D  8) :?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME OCT, Schell is more than capable of taking Perrie and you are right he will be s***ing himself. S***ing on top of Perrie's bald noggin as he is sitting on his head taking speccie after speccie. Schell has proven himself to be one of the best CHB in the comp since shifting there from up forward. He may not be as strong as "Elaine" Perrie but he will run off the ex Crow's old legs all day. \:D/

If you were a Centrals supporter, who would your option be to play on Perrie, seriously ? :-k

Don't make silly comments mate, silly comments get stupid responses, like mine, but WHAT THE HELL are you saying, you've got no idea ??? :-s

Well we agree ... your comments were stupid and talk about someone that has no idea. Dont hang off the tails of your side winning flags mate to think you have some knowledge on football. Your arguement was about physicality. So Chambo is too strong for your Full Back , he is no orphan. The rest of your comments are , as you point out stupid. Mind you , would one of those brave boys Gowans stand him ? History and in particular recent history suggests not .Cheap shots dont make you tough . Who would I stand on Perrie ? I would not start Michelle on him , good luck if it works , watch out if it doesnt. If they are your options , so be it. Maybe go ask the poor Norwood bloke who was in the wrong spot last week !!

No idea mate , I wont go into some clubs who have certain origins who have no idea and just hang off success . Thats what I call no idea.

C'mon OCT, get over yourself. Did you forget to take your tablets tonight mate, calm down, it's just a forum discussion, GEES....

You started the "girly" names so I went along with it for a bit of fun in an interesting discussion about match ups, that's all. You have to be an idiot and make stupid, ridiculous comments, then come up with some uneducated CRAP about us hanging off past success. First of all, it's got nothing to do with the topic that was being discussed and secondly, you don't know me and I'm sure as hell glad I don't know you but I reckon I'd have more football knowledge than you in my big toe !!! HA HA.....

I guess we will just have to see how the day pans out wont we MR SERIOUS.... ??? Gees I hope we PUMP your boys...

Over to me, thankyou, you are so kind and I don't need to lighten up, I was a light as I could be mate !!!

Yeah you are right, probably a tad contradictory, just get annoyed and fired up when people think they know it all and make comments they have no idea about. I guess if your boys had the recent successful history such as ours, it would be easy for your opposition supporters to be a bit jealous of your achievements and there fore it would bring that kind of comment out when they get up on their high horse... :D 8)

That is my closing statement your honour... I plead GUILTY to being a hypocrite AND a VERY HAPPY, PASSIONATE Doggies supporter... !!!

Really looking forward to the game now, should be some really GREAT individual matchups, at least in my opinion anyway !!! 8)

No to the diet, but I need to get on one though, put on a few extra kg's sitting in front of my laptop more and more since joining the forum... !!

Well that is fantastic, I'm glad we both agree that we are both very passionate people. That's exactly what this forum is about isn't mate ???

Proud, passionate supporters going "toe to toe" with a bit of friendly, light hearted banter, that does sometimes get taken a little bit too far becuase we are just sooo passionate about footy and our wonderful clubs we support. It's just great, I love it, thrive on it... !!!

I'm happy that you think you don't know it all, 'cos neither do I mate but I do think I know a fair bit about footy and I can tell you do as well.

I'm proud of our past 44 years in the competition and can't wait for our next 60 years to crack the ton. Wonder how may more premierships we would have won by the year 2068 ? !! I reckon based on recent averages, give or take a few, that's about 6 or 7 every decade for the next 6 decades. My maths makes that roughly between 30 and 40. Reckon we might give the Maggies record a shake hey !!!!!! ???? !!!!!!

If Perrie can replicate his form from last week (admittedly against a few headless chickens) Schell won't stand a chance.

If Schell plays at his best zipzap, Perrie will have to be accountable for his man to stop our drive and run off half back. Correct me if I'm wrong, wasn't one of Perrie's goals against the "Deadlegs" last week from not chasig his man and hanging back in the goal square. Because of Norwoods poor skills and decison making there was a turn over, Perrie got it over the top and walked in for a "lazy" goal... ?

I reckon to a degree, you are only as good as your opposition lets you to be and no disrespect to the Norwood CHB, but Schelly will make Perrie earn his kicks and will put in a better fight than The Sarge had to deal with last week...

Totally agree with Blue Boy, this match up will be a big factor in the outcome of the game. He sounds like the only Sturt supporter with a bit of common sense that I've dealt with on this forum so far... !!!!

Should be a cracker of a day, can't wait to get out there. Leaving shortly to catch the reserves game as well...

mmmm..... Ian Perrie kicks six against Norwood and suddenly becomes the best forward in the SANFL, if player reputations are based on how may goals they kick against Norwood then Daniel Havelberg must be twice the player Ian Perrie is
"This windfall from the Adelaide Oval decision cannot be turned into a moment when the SANFL sells off the farm to underwrite its lazy league clubs."
