What would you change about your team's uniform?

Postby Mr66 » Thu Apr 09, 2009 6:35 pm

Make the light blue a bit darker, circa 70's shade.
Have one thick navy stripe down side, ala mid 70's
and make the socks plain navy blue.
In other words, a complete replica of the 1976 Grand Final strip. ;)
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

Nothing - can't improve on perfection....

Dark blue shorts for home games would be good too.

It's tempting to say put a white stripe through it in case it brought premierships with it

agree, the weird blue guernsey with the V and white insert should be banished.

A smaller Eagle on the chest (more like the 60's version) for the home guernsey. A complete remodelling of the away guernsey - yellow looks awful.

It looked fantastic, good call. Much better than that current walking billboard.

I'd get rid of the advertising personally to return it to the guersney it was 30 years ago.
Im not sure why anyone could think it looks better now with all that crap on it that stands out like dogs balls.

I know a lot of people like putting the AFL down but they do leave the SANFL for dead when it comes to guernseys in that they insist sponsors only take a small part of the guernsey, the way some sponsors completely dominate SANFL guernseys is disgusting IMHO.
Only a couple aren't too bad in that regard, Norwood and perhaps Central spring to mind.

I respectfully disagree B&W!

A swift change back to the 1970's version with the thinner S crossed over the A works for me! 8)

What I'd change about all teams' uniforms:

Central - nothing
Eagles - trash the clash guernsey. The main guernsey is just fine.
Glenelg - nothing
North - trash the away guernsey. The home guernsey is just fine.
Norwood - home guernsey needs more red. Add an NFC logo in red.
Norwood - away guernsey is a better balance of colour than the home guernsey, but the inverted NFC logo is hard on the eyes. Replace with a white logo.
Port - doesn't matter what you do to the guernsey, I still wouldn't wipe my arse on it.
South - Needs more white. Add some white piping.
Sturt - trash the away guernsey. The home guernsey is just fine.
West - home guernsey fine; would reduce the size of the wolf on the away guernsey to a small motif.
Clowns OUT. Smears OUT. RESIST THE OCCUPATION.
