A little from column A and a little from column B !!!

I'm usually at the footy all day catching the ressies game as well which I will usually sit down for but when the league game starts and I'm on Boundary Rider duties, I'll be found standing against the boundary line fence, right by the interchange gates.

Answer to the question: I'd much rather stand at the footy. It's another reason that the AFL sucks, at Subi they've got these big wide walkways and you get moved on if you even stop for a few seconds. Do they still allow standing at Footy Park?
It's all the SANFL's fault.

No better place then standing on Snouts Hill, in front of Snouts Bar with the Snouts Louts, drinking Stout and turning into a Lout....

Sitting down at the Football is for Ladies, and old people who mainly knit......
The joy of being on the hill drinking beer cannot be understated

Yeah mate but not much of it, They have yellow lines you have to stand within and the Coats promptly tell you if so much as a foot is over the line (well they did last time I did it).

I don't bother anymore, If I go to AAMI I just watch it on TV in the bar (same with Docklands, although you can watch the actual game from the bar) ... Each to their own though, there's no right or wrong answer but I've always sworn by standing at the footy until Im too old to do so.

You're right there CP. They certainly take their job very seriously. One foot out of the yellow line and "Move along Sir!!".

Yeah it was a good source of humour among the lads when it first happened, but a year or 2 down the track it tested the patience of a lot of the punters.

Ya might as well have asked "quiche or steak?". The results will be the same.

Only ever stand, even at Footy Park.

I'm bucking the trend by saying I'm a sitter - normally in the grandstand.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

Depends who I go with. If I am there with Dad, we usually take seats as his old legs don't last too long. Otherwise I'll stand, near a beer van if I can.

Fair call, I must admit I'll be sitting a bit more this year if the old man goes as often as he claims (for that same reason) ... Reckon you actually get a better indication of each teams movements and the game overall from an elevated position, but you lose the atmosphere ... Depends which of those you go for I suppose.
