RD20 Glenelg v North Match Preview

Postby magpie in the 80's » Sat Aug 09, 2008 6:10 pm

Can North repeat last weeks effort or will Glenelg chalk up another win?

Ah well, we may as well not rock up then....

Best to give our boys another week off to freshen up for the QF...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I'll be the one sending the sympathy card this week as my plane out to Brisbane leaves at 3pm on Sunday.
Damn Java 2EE+ course in Brisbane!!
Still, if Glenelg had a Saturday afternoon game like every club with half a brain and half a care for REAL football fans and not bandwagonners then it wouldn't have been an issue.
Im sure there's at least a couple of thousand like me.
IF the crowd is 6k, it would have been 8k on the Saturday.
Stupid morons, still if they could administer a club they'd be looking after someone other than Glenelg!
Morons.
Instead of sending sympathy cards to people wtihout jobs the Glenelg Football Club should show some sympathy to those people who have jobs.
Morons.

:?

Makes sense....

But to the game, think the Bays will get up by about 28 points.

Hopefully the wet slog took it out of the Cocks today, and they haven't
done two weeks of good performing in a row for a while...

Hopefully the weather clears up for another good crowd at the Bay...

Makes perfect sense.
Play the game on Saturday for real football fans and when Glenelg get a record crowd to a game.
Play the game on a Sunday and get a couple of thousand less.

Freaking morons. Honestly, no idea.
Im very critical of North at times and I'll be just as critical of other clubs when they make retarded decisions such as this. NO need to take into account people with real jobs that have to fly all over the country every week, as long as they look after the unemplOyed bums that can get to Sunday games, that's all that counts. MORONS!!!
Its no wonder they can't get night games happening if their members vote in morons that elect to have Sunday games when people with real jobs are flying out to the rest of the country to start the working week. :?

Wow, mmm so the people who work Saturday (like me) are unemployed bums :?

Do you think that EVERYONE has a need to fly somewhere Sunday. FFS why don't they fly out at 1800 and watch the game and go straight to the airport, or catch the red eye Monday morning...

So all the people that aren't flying somewhere Sunday don't have real jobs ?

WTF do the lights have to do with Sunday games, especially since it's the council who are blocking them not the club :?

Glad to see a huge crowd at Prospect yesterday on a SATURDAY  The MORONS must have been working.....

And what about the thousands of people who play/are involved with other leagues on a saturday? Surely a sunday game would allow for a bigger crowd?? I know several people (myself included) who work on saturdays. We're not bums. Hospitality is a very demanding industry. Hooray for sundays at the Bay!!!

Have to check in before a certain time so can't fly out at 1800.
Can't catch the Monday morning red eye as would miss the start of the training.
Believe me Ive sussed out every option. :(

I, too, am working saturday, and this game on sunday means I can go! I can only ever make it to sunday sanfl games, and was deprived last week.

I'm not an unemployed bum or whatever other pretty ridiculous generalisations have been cast in this thread. I don't know too many people who work sunday and not saturday.

and the Crows play a massive game for their top 4 hoprs at the TD V the Bombers. That would have hurt a Glenelg Saturday home game.
