Sharpened and being thrown straight in the chest, no back stabbing here, North were not flash today, well done to South, they had only pride to play for, NOT A FINALS SPOT, and came up with the business, North very ordinary today (AGAIN), just hope the club puts all of us out of our misery and signs JARS up for another 2 years

Jarman's coaching reminds me more and more of David Brent's management.

sorry mate I know my game day on the Roost wasn't up to it's normal standard but I had a house full of teenage girls for my daughters 15th birthday, and they kept coming in trying to pinch my crownies

First game i've missed all year and the boys get up...was always going to happen :D :D Managed to see most of it on the box.

First win against North since 2005 I think. Way too long.

Gusty fightback in the last quarter. South have been in many games this season at 3/4 time, only to be over run. When North got a few goals up you couldnt help but have the feeling of deja vu.

The usual suspects were good again..Torney, Otten, Boyd, Rolfe, Handby. Mitch Sandery played his best game for the club and Iljecsen was pretty handy in his 50th.

The loss of Stewart in the last quarter was a cruel blow for North. He'd threatened to win it for North.

Eagles and Westies in the next fortnight I think..time to string a few together 8)

ha ha, spot on call there.

We seem to be even more poorly coached the longer the year goes on, Im not sure how that can be done but he's found a way.

Awful awful game, thank christ neither side will be in the finals.

Will have the pics up soon then the PC goes back to my son for more World of Warcraft! :D

Sorry Locky. Wasn't a shot at you mate.

It's bloody hard enough getting up at 5:00am, but getting up when there is no overage is just a bit more difficult and then to see our season blown away when South were supposed to have some big outs and North some big ins, is just a step too far.

Like I say, Crap day.

Like you say, South were playing for pride, but North was supposed to be playing for a finals spot. Souoth stepped up to the plate, North didn't. Maybe South had more pride than North had desire to play finals footy.

Got to say though, that it isn't just down to Jars. 21 out there were playing for finals footy. So what happened to their desire to win ? Jars isn't on the oval playing the game, and even with all this talk about players not playing for the coach etc, Allan has signed for two more years and surely the boys would want to make the finals. I can't believe that any player would want to lose a game and a chance to play finals footy just to prove a point.

However, like I said, there wasa no radio coverage, and you saw what was going on, on the telly, so what would I know anyway.

Well done South, showed some real improvement over the last couple of weeks or so and maybe you have something to look forward to next year. As for North, crap day.

Know you werent having a shot mate, I am with you on this one, well done to South were the better of two very ordinary sides out there today, IMHO South did us a favour today by winning, makes it very hard for us now to make the finals and be embarrased, South with the kids they had out there today have a lot to look forward to, alot had a go when SAMPSON was made coach but he seems to have something there with his group, no doubt the better side and better coached side won today

good win by south, if they had a forward they would have won by heaps.

Bloody SANFL coaches. O'keefe plays well coming off of half back or in the centre. He plays league and he gets played off of half forward or on the bench.

No good for the kid, if they are going to play them, play them

South on the other hand are looking daunting, all their kids played well and just get better every week. The good thing for south is that they are unlikely to lose any of them to the draft.

Good to see Jars handing out his resume in the last quarter looking for prospective employment.

What a great win. Let's put in perspective.10 players with less than 20 games under the belts, one 17 yo, one 18yo and four 19 year olds. Warren ,Thewlis and Prendergast absent, 2 goals behind 10 mins into the last quarter. South of old would have hit the showers and got done by 10 goals, not this side -they are collectively harder than a cats' head.
They will have lots of ups and downs on the way and I believe they may lose 1-2 in the draft but with the club at last adopting a youth first policy there are plenty more ready to take their places and have a crack. Boyd ,Redigolo, Carroll and Turner were truly terrific today and the old hands of Torney, Parry,Handby and Lade were there when the pressure was on.I thought Neagle did a good job on Allan and Sandery was pretty handy as well. 8) 8)

I am trying not to get my hopes up but South do look like they are laying the foundations of building a competitive side with the younger lads in the time and did well with Prendergast and Warren out of the side. Lets hope the Panthers keep it going into next season!

Great win!!! I thought the younger kids in South run out the Roosters for the last half of the game. North looked a bit under done in fitness.

Great to win at home with the ex - South players playing for North...made it a bit sweeter.

Hope the younger guys stay at South and the AFL keep their hands off them for a few more seasons!!!

Once again, well down and the future is looking at bit brighter tonight

optimism, anger, despair and now hope!!!
