Sorry we didnt remember that sturt fans still need a reasonable amount of lubrication during all of their footy games , due to all those wooden spoons racked up in the 1990s ! Shocking oversight to be sure .

A few tips for when these teams play again at Woodville ...

Sturt fans, get Mum to pack lunch and a thermos, if you drink, then get her to include a hip flask. If you must drink beer, then don't worry about looking for the canteen signs, you'll have more success if you find a whole lot of blokes standing together holding cans, usually a tell-tale sign that there's a beer tent nearby.

For the Eagle fans, just turn up and support your team.

To the Bays, how about trying to win a bloody game there this century please. Round 13 this year would be nice.

FFS ...

It just warms my heart to see Sturt fans so concerned about the Eagles losing out on beer sales that they have taken the time out of their busy days to make these issues public.

I might be mistaken but isn't the most publically convenient beer point of sale at Unley (the one between the old grandstand and the hill) designated the "members only bar" so only Sturt members can buy a beer there. I wonder just how many non-members & visting fans have had their purchase request rejected there and how many end up not bothering to go to a "public bar" to spend their money.

Don't think so Phil as I am not a current member and that is where I purchase my beer when at Unley. Perhaps members get a discount at that outlet as the prices they charge for a tin is ridiculous

No-one, as long as they are 18 or older & sober, would be rejected there. It is open to all comers. So , yes, you are mistaken Phil.

Last time asked, members don't even get a discount there anymore. Times are tough I guess .

Let's get back on topic.
I hope that the SEVEN injured Eagles are back for the rest of the season so you don't end up being belted every weekend as you have no depth in your squads, and we don't have to read that if you had your full team the story would be different.
From my recollection there's only 18 players allowed on the field of play from both teams, and usually the side that works harder for the full game wins. :((

Funny how that was the clubs second loss for the year and look how the club is written off .
WWT have lost to 2 clubs this year in both league and seconds CD and Sturt.Perhaps that says something about CD and Sturt .

WWT can go upwards and improve .

Were you there when the u16s played and the Eagles won by 20 goals. Didn't you know that 5 of our squad from last year were picked up in the afl draft (including rookie) and currently have 23 players who were picked from our club on AFL lists which means that we must be doing something right.

Let's be honest - Sturt, North and Eagles have the potential to trouble CD only if they get a good run with injuries. North were disadvantaged against us the week before, and this week we probably had the wrong end of the stick against Sturt, and got smashed.
