I look at the game this way we had a chance but not a big chance. The doggies would have been fired up after last week and the bloods needed to play 4 quarters but the doggies showed us how far behind we are. Looking forward to next week to see if we can turn it around.

Sounds like we were in the games for the first half and then centrals went man on man - Interested to hear how some of the newcomers handled the best in the league... Our side can only get stronger and a year or so ago, it woulds have been a 15 goal plus loss with our best 21. Westies are heading in the right direction but need a key forward and another option in ruck

Thought the boys were sloppy with there skills in the first half and the bloods made the most of there chances, second half much improved and ran away with the game.
Reserves look good as well and lots of young lads beating down the door to get into league team which will hopefully keep the boys on there toes,Havelberg has some sort of leg injury but hopefully not out for long but Craigy will drop Symes next week and also probably get Griffin as well.

Bring on the Magpies.

Bad news for you and that is you will be playing against an Eagles side who will be just as fired up trying to avenge their discraceful effort today. Another top 5 side life just doesn't any better for westies supporters.

I'am very dissapointed

Thought we gave Centrals a run for there money up until Half time. Poor kicking at goal made the margin closer.

Well, for any side in the bottom 4, 5 other sides are top 5 and only 3 aren't. Most games in the season are going to be against a top 5 team.

Ricky has been in pretty good form and I think the Crows have certainly found a diamond in the rough...

He was pretty impressive against Norwood last week before injuring a wrist I think but certainly has been in good form...

Has pretty much taken a hanger each week and did so again yesterday on the way to a 5 goal match winning haul...

With a hamstring injury to Daniel Havelberg in the Dogs league side yesterday, Ricky will certainly be discussed at the selection table for league selection next week, although Dave Allocca has had 2 or 3 BOG's so he'd be up there as well...

West impressive early. Their harassment of the ball carrier was very good.
They applied pressure in all the right spots.
However, the missed goal from 35 out right on the siren, where the shot didn't even record a score proved costly for momentum and confidence. A goal going into the break would've meant a heck of a lot.
I said to my family in the first five minutes after half time we'd win by 10 goals. Centrals came out a different side.

1/4 by 1/4 Ash:

CD 2.2 6.7 12.12 16.17
WA 4.0 6.1 7.1 8.3

WA had 8.1 until those last 2 points in the last quarter.

Schell kicked 3, but I'm not sure of the others. I know Giles and Havelberg kicked one apiece, along with Ash Duncan (first kick in league football).

Pretty much played as the 2nd tall forward option (behind Damien Hynes at full forward) but did a bit of work as well outside the 50m arc in a traditional CHF role.

I reckon we will see Ricky in the league side at Centrals at some stage this year, especially if he keep up the good form in the 2's...
